India, World Bank ink $98 mn loan pact for clean energy
India and the World Bank signed a USD 98 million loan pact, and a USD 2 million grant agreement to help the country increase power generation capacity through cleaner, renewable energy sources.
The Shared Infrastructure for Solar Parks Project will finance Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd (IREDA), to provide sub-loans to states to invest in various solar parks, the World Bank said in a statement.

देश में स्वच्छ, नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा स्रोतों के माध्यम से बिजली उत्पादन क्षमता में वृद्धि करने के लिए भारत और विश्वबैंक ने 9.8 करोड़ डॉलर के ऋण करार और 20 लाख डॉलर के अनुदान करार पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
विश्वबैंक ने बयान में कहा कि सौर पार्क परियोजना के लिए साझा ढांचा, भारतीय अक्षय ऊर्जा विकास एजेंसी लिमिटेड (आईआरईडीए) वित्तपोषण करेगा।
