Indian-origin businesswoman named UK police body chairperson

Indian-origin businesswoman, Millie Banerjee has been appointed the new chairperson of the UK's College of Policing by the British government.

Banerjee, honoured with a CBE by Queen Elizabeth II in 2002 for her work in supporting civil service reform, has had a long and varied career in the private and public sectors in the UK.

भारतीय मूल की महिला कारोबारी, मिली बनर्जी को ब्रिटिश सरकार ने ब्रिटेन के कॉलेज ऑफ पुलिसिंग का नया अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया।

लोक सेवा सुधारों के लिए किए गए कार्यों के लिए बनर्जी को महारानी एलिजाबेथ द्वितीय द्वारा वर्ष 2002 में सीबीई से सम्मानित किया गया था।

India has been ranked 14th in this year's Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) 2018 out of 56 nations and the European Union by environmental organisation Germanwatch. India was ranked 20th in this list in 2017. China has been ranked 41st in this list.

Chinese Golfer Li Haotong clinched the title in a night golf contest 'The Hero Challenge' ahead of the DP World Tour Championship.

The Hero Challenge was introduced at the British Masters in 2016 and now Hero MotoCorp has extended the partnership with the European Tour by three years.
