Gayle becomes first to reach 800 T20 sixes

West Indies' batsman Chris Gayle became the first batsman to slam 800 sixes in T20 cricket.

Gayle slammed a 51-ball 126 in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Gayle hit 14 sixes during his knock of 126*(51).

The Gujarati-origin stalwart was a former platoon commander in the military wing of the African National Congress (ANC) and was sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment on the Robben Island.

दक्षिण अफ्रीका में भारतीय मूल के स्वतंत्रता सेनानी लालू चिबा निधन हो गया। वह 87 वर्ष के थे।

गुजराती मूल के चिबा अफ्रीकी राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस (एएनसी) की सैन्य शाखा में पलटन कमांडर थे और उनको रॉबिन आईलैंड में 18 साल कैद की सजा सुनाई गई थी।

India joins the Wassenaar Arrangement

India has joined the Wassenaar Arrangement after completing the internal procedures and the membership will facilitate high-technology tie-ups for country's defence and space programmes.

India has become the arrangement's 42nd participating State.
