Let the smallest even number be y
Given, y - x = 11 ...........(i)
(x + x + 2 +x + 4) + (y +y +2 +y + 4) = 231
3x + 3y = 219
x + y = 73............(ii)
On, (i) + (ii)
y = 42
x = 33
y + 4 + x + 4 = 83

9 = 9 × 3 = 27
ANS – 10
Average speed = Total Distance / Total Time taken
Total distance = 384 + 384 = 768 km
t1 = /384/160  = 2.4 hours, t2 = 5 hours 36 minutes = 5.6 hours
Total time taken = 5.6 + 2.4 = 8 hours
Therefore, average speed = 768/8 = 96 kmph
