- A rare 200 million-year-old ichthyosaur species has been discovered from a private collection, 22 years after it was originally found. Ichthyosaurs were a type of sea-going reptiles that lived during the time of the dinosaurs. In 2016, Dean Lomax from the University of Manchester in the UK described an ichthyosaur skeleton that he had examined in the collections of Leicester's New Walk Museum and Art Gallery.
- He spotted several unusual features of the bones and determined that the features were unique and represented a new species, which he called Wahlisaurus massarae.

IWAI Inks Pact With The World Bank For Jal Marg Proj On Ganga
- Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) has inked pact with the World Bank for Jal Marg Vikas Project to enhance navigation on National Waterway-1 from Varanasi to Haldia.
- "IWAI signed a project agreement with the World Bank, even as the latter entered into a USD 375 million loan agreement with the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance for Jal Marg Vikas Project (JMVP)," Ministry of Shipping said in a statement.
- The signing of the pact follows the Cabinet nod for implementation of the USD 800 million JMVP for capacity augmentation of navigation on National Waterway-1 (River Ganga) from Varanasi to Haldia, the statement said.
आईडब्ल्यूएआई ने गंगा नदी पर जल मार्ग परियोजना के लिए विश्व बैंक के साथ समझौता किया
- भारतीय अंतर्देशीय जलमार्ग प्राधिकरण (आईडब्ल्यूएआई) ने बनारस से हल्दिया तक राष्ट्रीय जलमार्ग-एक पर नौवहन को बढ़ावा देने की दिशा में जलमार्ग विकास परियोजना के लिए विश्व बैंक के साथ समझौता किया है।
- पोत परिवहन मंत्रालय ने एक बयान में कहा, ‘‘आईडब्ल्यूएआई ने विश्व बैंक के साथ एक परियोजना को लेकर समझौता किया ।
- जल मार्ग विकास परियोजना (जेएमवीपी) के लिए आर्थिक मामलों के विभाग, वित्त मंत्रालय के साथ 3.75 करोड़ डॉलर का ऋण समझौता हुआ है।’’
- बयान में कहा गया कि बनारस से हल्दिया तक राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग -एक (गंगा नदी) पर नौवहन को बढ़ावा देने को लेकर 80 करोड़ डॉलर वाली जेएमवीपी परियोजना के क्रियान्वयन के लिए मंत्रिमंडल की मंजूरी के बाद यह समझौता हुआ है ।
