1. According to the Economic think-tank, National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), the Indian economy is projected to grow at 6.7 percent in the current financial year 2017-18 and 7.5 percent in 2018-19.

2. Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) carried out the successful test flight of Rustom-2 drone at Chalakere in Karnataka's Chitradurga district. Rustom-2 is a medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

5. The Reserve Bank of India has launched 'Ombudsman Scheme' for non-banking financial companies (NBFC). The scheme will provide a cost-free and expeditious complaint redressal mechanism relating to deficiency in the services by NBFCs.

6. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Amma two-wheeler scheme in Chennai. Under this scheme, 50 percent subsidy will be given to working women for buying two-wheeler in Tamil Nadu.

9. India successfully conducted a night trial of its indigenously developed nuclear capable Prithvi-II missile with a strike range of 350 km, from a test range in Odisha.
