Tata Motors Appoints Rajendra Petkar As Its Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
- Tata Motors has announced the appointment of Mr. Rajendra Petkar as the 'Chief Technology Officer’ and a member of the Executive Committee (ExCom). Rajendra Petkar will take charge of the new responsibilities effective from 1st April 2018. He has been officiating in this role since November 2017.
- The replacement of Mr. Petkar as the “Head of Power Systems Engineering (PSE)” will be announced in due course. In the meanwhile, he will continue to oversee the PSE related scope of responsibility. As the Chief Technology Officer, Rajendra Petkar will be responsible for leading the Product Development & Engineering function at Tata Motors, that involves design and development of a vast range of vehicles and components for the TML product portfolio.
- He has been heading the Power Systems Engineering (PSE) Division at ERC of Tata Motors since Oct 2013. In his role as Head - PSE, he was responsible for design & development of engines, transmissions and advanced powertrain concepts for value chain of TML products. Additionally, Rajendra Petkar represents Tata Motors at various automotive bodies and is also the TML nominated Director on the Board of Tata Cummins Ltd.
- An alumnus of IIT Mumbai, he commenced his journey with Tata Motors in 1989 as PGET. With a career spanning over 28 years of automotive research & development, he has held key positions and led critical projects at Tata Motors’ ERC. He holds many patents and research papers to his credit.
- टाटा मोटर्स ने श्री राजेंद्र पेटकर को 'मुख्य प्रौद्योगिकी अधिकारी' और कार्यकारी समिति (एक्सकोम) के सदस्य के रूप में नियुक्ति की घोषणा की है। राजेंद्र पेटकर 1 अप्रैल 2018 से प्रभावी नई जिम्मेदारियों का प्रभार संभालेंगे। वे नवंबर 2017 से इस भूमिका में कार्य कर रहे हैं। श्री पेटकर को "पावर सिस्टम्स इंजीनियरिंग प्रमुख (पीएसई)" के रूप में बदलने की घोषणा की जाएगी। ।
- इस बीच, वह पीएसई से संबंधित दायित्व की जिम्मेदारी की देखरेख जारी रखेंगे। मुख्य प्रौद्योगिकी अधिकारी के रूप में, राजेंद्र पेटकर टाटा मोटर्स में उत्पाद विकास एवं इंजीनियरिंग समारोह के लिए जिम्मेदार होंगे, जिसमें टीएमएल उत्पाद पोर्टफोलियो के लिए वाहनों और घटकों के विशाल रेंज के डिजाइन और विकास शामिल है।
- वह अक्टूबर 2013 से टाटा मोटर्स के ईआरसी में पावर सिस्टम्स इंजीनियरिंग (पीएसई) डिवीजन का नेतृत्व कर रहे हैं। हेड-पीएसई के रूप में उनकी भूमिका में, वह टीएमएल उत्पादों के मूल्य श्रृंखला के लिए इंजन, प्रसारण और उन्नत पावरट्रेन अवधारणाओं के डिजाइन और विकास के लिए जिम्मेदार थे। । इसके अतिरिक्त, राजेंद्र पेटकर विभिन्न मोटर वाहन निकायों में टाटा मोटर्स का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं और टाटा कमिंस लिमिटेड के बोर्ड में टीएमएल नामित निदेशक भी हैं।
- आईआईटी मुंबई के अलुमुनुस, उन्होंने 1989 में पीजीईटी के रूप में टाटा मोटर्स के साथ अपनी यात्रा शुरू की। ऑटोमोटिव अनुसंधान एवं विकास के 28 वर्षों के कैरियर के साथ, उन्होंने महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर कार्य किया और टाटा मोटर्स के ईआरसी में महत्वपूर्ण परियोजनाओं का नेतृत्व किया। उन्होंने कई पेटेंट और शोध पत्र अपने नाम किये।
