The Commission is conducting a re-examination for Paper-I (Quantitative Ability) of the candidates who had appeared in the CGL (Tier-II) Examination 2017 across the country and Paper-I (Quantitative Ability) & Paper-II (English) of the candidates who had appeared at Cyber City, Patna, on 21.2.2018. This re-examination is scheduled to be held on 9.3.2018.
In the meantime, the Commission has received a number of representations from the candidates of CGL (Tier-II) Examination 2017 who had appeared for their Paper-I on 17.2.2018 at Animate Infotech, Mohan Cooperative Industrial Estate, New Delhi stating that they were not associated with the group of candidates who had disrupted the Paper-II of the aforesaid examination at that venue. They have requested the Commission to take a sympathetic view and consider their request for allowing them to re-appear in Paper-II.
Representations have also been received from candidates who had appeared in Paper-I of the CGL (Tier-II) Examination 2017 at Nirman Infotech, Chandigarh on 17.2.2018 stating that due to a short circuit in the computer lab, disturbances had ensued as a result of which they had faced hardship in completing their examination. The Commission after due verification, found that their claim is genuine and accordingly the Commission has cancelled Paper-I of this venue held on 17.2.2018.
The Commission, after taking a considered view in the aforesaid matters, in the interest of the bona fide candidates, has decided to allow the affected 318 candidates of Animate Infotech, Mohan Cooperative Industrial Estate, New Delhi and 156 affected candidates of Nirman Infotech, Chandigarh, to re-appear in PaperII and Paper-I, respectively, on 9.3.2018.
However, it may be noted that with regard to the candidates of Animate Infotech, Mohan Cooperative Industrial Estate, New Delhi, since this matter is under investigation of Delhi Police, appropriate action will be taken against the candidates found responsible for disruption of the said examination based on the Police Report.
