(i) Paper-I (Quantitative Ability) for all the candidates who had appeared on 21.2.2018 at all venues across the country.
(ii) Paper-I (Quantitative Ability) for the candidates who had appeared at Nirman Infotech, Chandigarh on 17.2.2018.
(iii) Paper-II (English Language & Comprehension) for the candidates who had appeared at Animate Infotech, Mohan Cooperative Industrial Estate, New Delhi on 17.2.2018.
(iv) Paper-II (English Language & Comprehension) for the candidates who had appeared at Cyber City, Patna on 21.2.2018.
The examination was conducted smoothly without report of any untoward incident, at 174 venues in 61 cities for 35,146 candidates. The average attendance in Paper-I was 92.81% and in Paper-II 72.05%.
(II) Examination in Progress: Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (Tier-I), 2017
The Commission is conducting the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (Tier-I), 2017 from 4.3.2018 to 28.3.2018. The examination is being conducted at 438 venues in 92 cities for 63,49,545 registered candidates across the country. Till 8.3.2018, 5,58,319 candidates out of 14,11,539 candidates have taken the examination.
This examination is being conducted under strict surveillance and there is no report of any untoward incident. So far, 10 cases of impersonation have been detected from various venues across the country (i.e. 05 at Patna, 02 at Delhi and 01 each at Chandigarh, Gorakhpur and Allahabad). In addition, 04 cases of cheating have also been reported, (i.e. 02 at Patna and 02 at Delhi). Police complaints have been registered against the delinquent candidates/ persons involved in these exam related malpractices. Further action against the involved candidates viz. cancellation of their candidature and debarment from future examinations of the Commission has also been initiated.
(III) Declaration of final result: Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract) Examination, 2016 on 9.3.2018.
The Commission has declared the final result of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract) Examination, 2016. The Tier-I of this examination was conducted from 01.03.2017 to 04.03.2017. 1242 candidates against 1246 vacancies have been recommended by the Commission to various Ministries / Departments for issuance of appointment letters to the successful candidates. So far, in the current financial year 2017-18, the Commission has, on the basis of various examinations conducted by it, already nominated 45,042 candidates for appointment to different Ministries / Departments.
(IV) Skill Test: Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2017 to be conducted from 9.4.2018 to 8.5.2018
The Commission would be conducting the Skill Test of the qualified candidates of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2017 from 9.4.2018 to 8.5.2018 at the Regional / Sub-Regional Offices of the Commission. The eligible candidates may visit the websites of the concerned Regional / Sub-Regional Offices of the Commission for further updates in the matter.
(V) Rescheduling of examination: Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2017 (Tier-III) Descriptive Paper
The Tier-III examination of Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2017, which was earlier scheduled to be held on 31.03.2018, has been postponed and will now be held in the month of May, 2018. The exact date of the examination would be announced shortly.
(VI) CBI Enquiry: Updated status as on 9.3.2018
As mentioned earlier, the Government has acceded to the request of the Commission, (made on 4.3.2018), to conduct a CBI enquiry into (i) the allegations made by the protesting candidates regarding Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-II), 2017 conducted from 17.2.2018 to 22.2.2018 (ii) the role played by the external agencies in actively instigating and nurturing this agitation related to CGLE, 2017. With regard to updated status on the CBI enquiry, it is informed that the CBI authorities have informed the Commission vide Preliminary Enquiry No. PE AC1 2018A0004 dated 8.3.2018, (received by the Commission in the evening of 9.3.2018) that they have registered a preliminary enquiry case, in the said matter, thereby initiating the process of CBI enquiry.
(VII) Other information: Offers of appointments to the candidates of CHSL Examination, 2015 by two major appointing authorities.
On an enquiry made by the Commission, from the two major appointing authorities, regarding the issuance of appointment orders to the nominated candidates of Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2015, the updated status is as follows:-
(a) Postal Department – As against 5139 Dossiers of successful candidates, sent by the Commission to them, 3161 offers of appointment have already been issued to the candidates and that offers of appointment to the remaining 1978 candidates are proposed to be issued within the month of March, 2018 itself.
(b) Indian Audit and Accounts Department – As against 999 Dossiers of successful candidates sent by the Commission to them, 357 offers of appointment have already been issued to the candidates and that offers of appointment to the remaining 642 candidates are proposed to be issued within the month of March, 2018.
