India will coordinate with China against Asian premium
India will coordinate with China and other Asian countries to raise voice against Asian premium charged by Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). Indian Oil Corporation Chairman Sanjiv Singh will coordinate with the head of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) to chalk out a strategy that will result in getting better price from OPEC countries.
Asian Premium
Asian Premium is extra charge being collected by OPEC countries from Asian countries when selling oil in comparison to western countries. For example, production cost of one barrel of crude oil is Rs. 100 in OPEC countries. These countries want to make profit of Rs. 100 so they ideally should sell one barrel for Rs. 200. But under Asian Premium pricing mechanism, OPEC countries gives discriminatory treatment to Asian countries by charging them Rs. 220 per barrel and on other side giving discount to western countries by selling them at Rs.180 or below one 180 per barrel.
भारत 'एशियाई प्रीमियम' के खिलाफ चीन के साथ समन्वय करेगा
भारत पेट्रोलियम निर्यातक देशों के संगठन (ओपेक) द्वारा लगाए गए एशियाई प्रीमियम के खिलाफ आवाज उठाने के लिए चीन और अन्य एशियाई देशों के साथ समन्वय कर रहा है। इंडियन ऑयल कॉरपोरेशन के चेयरमैन संजीव सिंह ने चीन की राष्ट्रीय पेट्रोलियम कॉरपोरेशन (सीएनपीसी) के प्रमुख के साथ मिलकर रणनीति तैयार की है जिससे ओपेक देशों से बेहतर मूल्य मिले सके।
एशियाई प्रीमियम
पश्चिमी देशों की तुलना में तेल की बिक्री करते समय एशियाई देशों से ओपेक देशों द्वारा अतिरिक्त शुल्क एकत्र किया जा रहा है। उदाहरण के लिए, ओपेक देशों में कच्चे तेल के एक बैरल की उत्पादन लागत 100 रुपये है। ये देश 100 रुपये का लाभ लेना चाहते हैं, इसलिए उन्हें आदर्श रूप से 200 रुपये प्रति बैरल बेचना चाहिए। लेकिन एशियन प्रीमियम प्राइसिंग मैकेनाइजेशन के तहत, ओपेक देश एशियाई देशों से उन्हें 220 प्रति बैरल चार्ज करके भेदभावपूर्वक बेचते है और दूसरी तरफ पश्चिमी देशों को छूट देकर 180 रुपये प्रति बैरल पर बेचते हैं।
