ANSWER KEY:

Q1. (2). × 4 – 52, × 5 – 62,  × 6 – 72,  × 7 – 82,  × 8 – 92

Q2. (4). + {5(52 + 1)}, + {6(62 + 1)}, + {7(72 + 1)}, + {8(82 + 1)}, + {9(92 + 1)}

Q3. (5). × 0.5, ÷ 0.25, × 0.0625, ÷ 0.00390625

Q4. (2). ÷ 2 + (32 – 1), ÷ 3 + (42 – 1), ÷ 4 + (52 – 1), ÷ 5 + (62 – 1), ÷ 6 + (72 – 1)

Q5. (2). Let first number be x and second number be y/माना पहली संख्या x तथा दूसरी संख्या y है।
According to the question/प्रश्नानुसार,
2x + 3y = 300 … (I)
and/और 3x + 2y = 265 … (II)
On solving (I) and (II), we get/ (I) और (II) को हल करने पर, हम प्राप्त करते हैं
x = 39, y = 74
अभीष्ट औसत = 56.5

Q6. (2). Let amount be Rs.100/माना धनराशि 100 रु. है ।
Compound interest for the first year/पहले वर्ष के लिए चक्रवृद्धि ब्याज = Rs.8
Compound interest for the second year/दूसरे वर्ष के लिए चक्रवृद्धि ब्याज = Rs.8 + Rs.0.64
Total compound interest/कुल चक्रवृद्धि ब्याज = Rs.16.64
According to the question/प्रश्नानुसार,
16.64 = 1414.40
1 = 85
100 = 8500
Total amount/कुल धनराशि = 8500 + 1414.40 = 9914.40

Q7. (1) I. a2 – 4 = 0
              a2 = 4
              a = + 2, - 2
          II. b2 + 6b + 9 = 0
               (b + 3)2 = 0
               b = - 3, - 3
               Hence, a > b

Q8. (3) I. b2 – 0.7b + 0.12 = 0
              b2 – 0.3b – 0.4b + 0.12 = 0
              b (b – 0.3) – 0.4 (b – 0.3) = 0
              (b – 0.3) (b – 0.4) = 0
              b = 0.3, 0.4
          II. a2 + 0.1 × a – 0.12 = 0
               a2 + 0.4a – 0.3a – 0.12 = 0
               a (a + 0.4) – 0.3 (a + 0.4) = 0
               (a + 0.4) (a – 0.3) = 0
               a = - 0.4, 0.3
               Hence, a
b

Q9. (3)
? = 13884

Q10. (5) (97)2 + 16480 ÷ 53 =
9409 + 131.84 = 4 × ?
? = = 2385.21
