India ranked 11th in FDI Confidence Index 2018
In global consultants AT Kearney’s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Confidence Index 2018, India’s ranking fell three places to 11th spot. Last year, India was ranked eighth. Its position was pushed out of the top 10 for the first time since 2015. Switzerland and Italy entered the top 10 for the first time in more than a decade, edging out India and Singapore.
This is an annual survey which tracks the impact of likely political, economic and regulatory changes on the FDI preferences of chief executive officers and chief financial officers.

ग्लोबल कंसल्टेंसी फर्म एटी किर्नी के विदेशी प्रत्यक्ष निवेश (एफडीआई) कॉन्फिडेंस इंडेक्स 2018 में, भारत की रैंकिंग तीन स्थान गिरकर 11 वें स्थान पर रही। पिछले साल, भारत आठवें स्थान पर था। वर्ष 2015 के बाद भारत पहली बार शीर्ष 10 से बाहर हो गया है। स्विट्ज़रलैंड और इटली ने एक दशक से भी ज्यादा समय के बाद पहली बार शीर्ष 10 में प्रवेश किया है और भारत और सिंगापुर को बाहर कर दिया है।

India is Now Top Fifth Defence Spender
According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute's report, India is now the world’s five biggest military spenders, New Delhi’s defence spending rose by 5.5 percent to $63.9 billion in 2017 and has now passed France.
India was in the fifth spot, after the US, China, Saudi Arabia and Russia, and they together accounted for 60% of global military spending.

स्टॉकहोम इंटरनेशनल पीस रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत पांच सबसे बड़ा सैन्य खर्च करने वाला देश बन गया है। 2017 में नई दिल्ली का रक्षा खर्च 5.5 प्रतिशत बढ़कर, 63.9 अरब डॉलर हो गया और इसके साथ ही भारत ने फ्रांस को पीछे छोड़ दिया है।
अमेरिका, चीन, सऊदी अरब और रूस के बाद भारत पांचवें स्थान पर है, और इन सभी देशों की कुल वैश्विक सैन्य खर्च में 60% की हिस्सेदारी है।
