NITI Aayog to Collaborate with IBM
NITI Aayog and IBM signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) to develop a crop yield prediction model using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide real time advisory to farmers in Aspirational Districts.
The partnership aims to work together towards use of technology to provide insights to farmers to improve crop productivity, soil yield, control agricultural inputs with the overarching goal of improving farmers’ incomes.

नीति आयोग ने कम विकसित जिलों के किसानों को फसल उत्पादन अनुमान की समय पर जानकारी देने के लिए आईबीएम के साथ एक आशय-पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर किये है।
इसका उद्देश्य फसल उत्पादन और मिट्टी की उत्पादकता बढ़ाने, कृषि इनपुट को नियंत्रित करने तथा समग्र रूप से किसानों की आय बढ़ाने के लिए मिलकर काम करना है ताकि किसानों को पहले से ही जानकारी देने के लिए तकनीक का इस्तेमाल किया जा सके।
12th informal meeting of SAARC Finance Ministers held in Manila
The 12th informal meeting of SAARC Finance Ministers was held in Manila, the capital of Philippines, on the sidelines of the 51st Annual Meeting of Asian Development Bank (ADB). The meeting was attended by the Finance Ministers/Heads of Delegations from the SAARC member states.
Finance Minister of Nepal Yuba Raj Khatiwada chaired the meeting.

दक्षिण एशियाई क्षेत्रीय सहयोग संगठन (सार्क) देशों के वित्त मंत्रियों की 12वीं बैठक शुक्रवार को फिलीपीन्स की राजधानी मनिला में संपन्न हुई। यह अनौपचारिक बैठक एशियाई विकास बैंक की 51वीं वार्षिक बैठक के अवसर पर हुई। बैठक में सार्क देशों के वित्त मंत्रियों/प्रतिनिधिमंडल के प्रमुखों ने हिस्सा लिया। नेपाल के वित्त मंत्री युबराज खातिवाडा ने बैठक की अध्यक्षता की।

Human Resource Development Ministry has launched a major and unique initiative of online professional development of 1.5 million higher education faculty using the MOOCs platform SWAYAM.
In the first phase, 75 discipline-specific National Resource Centres (NRC) have been identified. They are tasked to prepare online training material with focus on latest developments in the discipline, new and emerging trends, pedagogical improvements and methodologies for transacting revised curriculum.

मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय ने एमओओसी प्लेटफॉर्म ‘स्वयं’ का उपयोग करते हुए 1.5 मिलियन उच्च/शिक्षा फैकल्टी के ऑनलाइन पेशेवर विकास का बड़ा और अनूठा कार्यक्रम प्रारंभ किया है। पहले चरण में 75 अध्ययन-विषय विशेष राष्ट्रीय संसाधन केन्द्र चिन्ह्ति किये गये है। इन केन्द्रों से अध्ययन-विषय विशेष में नवीनतम विकास, उभरती प्रवृत्तियों, शैक्षणिक सुधार और संशोधित पाठ्यक्रम लागू करने के लिए तौर-तरीकों पर फोकस के साथ ऑनलाइन प्रशिक्षण सामग्री तैयार करने को कहा गया है।
