Sudha Balakrishnan has been appointed the first chief financial officer (CFO) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Telangana government has launched a scheme to provide life insurance of up to Rs 5 lakh per farmer in the state.
- Facility of Five Lakh Rupees to the nominee, after the death of the insured farmer.
- Life Insurance Corporation India will implement the scheme.
