1. ONGC ranked 197th in the Fortune Global-500 list
India’s largest oil and gas producer, the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC), has been ranked 197 in the 'Fortune Global 500' list.
This ranking has come on the back of robust fiscal and physical performance in FY’18, in-spite of volatile global oil prices and operational challenges faced by the company.

देश की सबसे बड़ी तेल एवं गैस उत्पादन करने वाली कंपनी तेल एवं प्राकृतिक गैस निगम (ओएनजीसी) को ‘फार्च्यून ग्लोबल 500’ की सूची में 197वां स्थान मिला है।
ओएनजीसी की जारी विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार वित्त वर्ष 2017- 18 के दौरान वैश्विक बाजार में कच्चे तेल के दाम में उतार चढाव और परिचालनगत चुनौतियों के बावजूद वित्तीय और भौतिक मोर्चे पर कंपनी के जोरदार प्रदर्शन की बदौलत यह स्थान मिला है।
2. US agency signs MoU with Indian company for 41 MW power project in Andhra
US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) signed a memorandum of understanding with an Indian private company IL&FS Energy Development Company Limited (IEDCL) for the development of a 41-MW hybrid wind, solar, and energy storage power plant in Andhra Pradesh.

अमेरिका की व्यापार एवं विकास एजेंसी (यूएसटीडीए) ने भारत की निजी क्षेत्र की कंपनी आईएलएंडएफएस एनर्जी डेवलपमेंट कंपनी लि. (आईईडीसीएल) के साथ आंध्र प्रदेश में 41 मेगावॉट के हाइब्रिड विंड, सौर और ऊर्जा स्टोरेज बिजली संयंत्र के लिए सहमति ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किए है।
3. First Nepal-India Think Tank Summit in Kathmandu
The first Nepal-India Think Tank Summit began in Kathmandu.The summit is being jointly organized by the Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs and Nehru Memorial Museum Library.
Former Prime Minister of Nepal and Co-chairman of ruling Communist Party of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda inaugurated the summit.

पहला नेपाल-भारत थिंक टैंक शिखर सम्मेलन, काठमांडू में शुरू हुआ। इस सम्मलेन का आयोजन संयुक्त रूप से एशियाई इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ डिप्लोमैसी एंड इंटरनेशनल अफेयर्स (एआईडीए) और नेहरू मेमोरियल म्यूजियम लाइब्रेरी द्वरा किया जा रहा है।
पूर्व प्रधान मंत्री और नेपाल कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी ऑफ नेपाल (सीपीएन) के सह-अध्यक्ष पुष्पकमल दाहाल प्रचंड ने इस सम्मलेन का उद्घाटन किया।
5. Indian GDP may moderate to 7.2% in second half of 2018: Nomura Report
The Indian economy is likely to have witnessed solid economic growth in the April-June quarter but leading indicators suggest a slowdown in the coming months, says a Nomura report.
Nomura expects GDP growth to peak in April-June quarter and then moderate to 7.2 per cent in the second half of 2018 from around 7.8 per cent in first half.
4. LMRC, BSNL sign MoU for facilitation of customer services at Metro Stations
The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) and BSNL signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for facilitation of customer services at all Metro stations.
The MoU was signed in the presence of LMRC MD Kumar Keshav and other Metro directors along with Satish Kumar, principal general manager and Karuna Raman Tiwari, general manager of the BSNL.
लखनऊ मेट्रो, बीएसएनएल के बीच करार
लखनऊ मेट्रो रेल कॉरपोरेशन (एलएमआरसी) के ‘गो स्मार्ट’ कार्डधारक अब अपने भारत संचार निगम लिमिटेड (बीएसएनएल) के पोस्टपेड बिल का भुगतान इसी कार्ड से कर सकेंगे। इस संबंध में दोनों संगठनों ने एक समझौते पर दस्तखत किए हैं।
एलएमआरसी के प्रबंध निदेशक कुमार केशव और बीएसएनएल के मुख्य महाप्रबंधक सतीश कुमार की मौजूदगी में इस सहमति ज्ञापन पत्र (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर किये गये।

भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था बेशक अप्रैल-जून की तिमाही में मजबूत आर्थिक वृद्धि दर दर्ज करेगी, लेकिन आगामी महीनों में यह रफ्तार सुस्त पड़ सकती है। नोमूरा की एक रिपोर्ट में यह अनुमान लगाया गया है।
नोमूरा का अनुमान है कि अप्रैल जून तिमाही में जीडीपी की वृद्धि दर उच्चस्तर पर रहेगी और उसके बाद यह दूसरी छमाही में घटकर 7.2 प्रतिशत रह जाएगी। पहली छमाही में यह करीब 7.8 प्रतिशत के स्तर पर रहेगी।
6. China launches high-resolution Earth observation Gaofen-11 satellite
China has launched an optical remote sensing satellite Gaofen-11, as part of its high-resolution Earth observation project.
It was the 282nd flight mission by a Long March carrier rocket.

चीन ने पृथ्वी अवलोकन हाई-रिजोल्यूशनउपग्रह परियोजना के तहत ऑप्टिकल रिमोट सेंसिंग उपग्रह गाओफेन-11 लॉन्च किया।
यह लॉन्ग मार्च रॉकेट श्रृंखला का 282वां मिशन था।

Former West Bengal governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi has been selected for this year's Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Award for promoting communal harmony and peace.
