1. Azad, Najma Heptulla conferred Outstanding Parliamentarian award
Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla and BJD MP Bhartruhari Mahtab were conferred the Outstanding Parliamentarian award by President Ram Nath Kovind.
Heptulla, a former Rajya Sabha member got the award for the 2013, Lok Sabha member Hukumdev Narayan Yadav for 2014. Both are from the BJP.
The award was given to Azad for 2015, TMC MP Dinesh Trivedi for 2016 and Mahtab for 2017.
आजाद, नजमा हेपतुल्ला को उत्कृष्ट सांसद का पुरस्कार
राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद ने राज्य सभा में विपक्षी नेता गुलाम नबी आजाद, मणिपुर की राज्यपाल नजमा हेपतुल्ला और बीजद सांसद भृतुहरि महताब को उत्कृष्ट सांसद पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया।
राज्यसभा की पूर्व सदस्य हेपतुल्ला को वर्ष 2013 और लोकसभा सदस्य हुकुमदेव नारायण यादव को 2014 के लिए इस पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। दोनों ही भाजपा से हैं।
आजाद को 2015, तृणमूल कांग्रेस सांसद दिनेश त्रिवेदी को 2016 और महताब को 2017 के लिए सम्मानित किया गया।
2. Deepak Parekh re-appointed as HDFC director
Deepak Parekh was re-appointed as a Non-Executive Director on the board of the country's largest mortgage lender HDFC but 22.64 per cent of the shareholders voted against his continuation.

3. Bharti Airtel partners Razorpay for UPI payments
Payments solution provider Razorpay has signed an agreement with Bharti Airtel. Under this agreement, Airtel customers make seamless online payments through Razorpay's UPI (Unified Payment Interface) on the telecom firm's website and mobile app.
भारती एयरटेल, रेजरपे के बीच डिजिटल भुगतान के लिए समझौता
डिजिटल भुगतान सेवा देने वाली कंपनी रेजरपे ने भारती एयरटेल के साथ एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। इस समझौते के तहत अब एयरटेल की वेबसाइट और मोबाइल एप पर उसके ग्राहक रेजरपे की यूपीआई (एकीकृत भुगतान इंटरफेस) भुगतान सुविधा का उपयोग कर सकेंगे।
4. First India-Indonesia Interfaith Dialogue to be held in October
The first India-Indonesia Interfaith Dialogue, decided during the maiden visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be held in early October, the Indian Embassy said.
Minister of State for External Affairs M J Akbar, who visited Indonesia, discussed with the Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, concrete steps to follow up on Prime Minister Modi's visit in May, the embassy said.
अक्तूबर में होगी भारत-इंडोनेशिया अंतरधार्मिक वार्ता
भारत-इंडोनेशिया के बीच पहली अंतरधार्मिक वार्ता अक्तूबर में होगी। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के दौरे के दौरान इस पर फैसला हुआ था।
भारतीय दूतावास ने बताया है कि इंडोनेशिया का दौरा करने वाले विदेश राज्य मंत्री एम जे अकबर ने इंडोनेशिया की विदेश मंत्री रेत्नो मरसूदी से बातचीत की। मई में प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के दौरे के बाद उठाए गए कदमों पर वार्ता हुई।

5. Third bi-monthly monetary policy review
The Reserve Bank of India has hiked repo rate by 25 basis points to 6.50 per cent in its third bi-monthly monetary policy review. With this, Reverse repo rate has become 6.25 percent and bank rate is 6.75 percent.
At the same time, the Reserve Bank has estimated GDP growth rate to be 7.5- 7.6 percent during the April-September period of the current financial year, and the overall growth projection for the entire fiscal year is maintained at 7.4 percent.
In its review, the Reserve Bank further said that retail inflation is estimated to be at 4.8 percent in the second half of the current financial year.
For the July-September quarter, it has projected inflation to be at 4.6 percent.

तीसरी द्वि-मासिक मौद्रिक नीति समीक्षा
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने तीसरी द्वि-मासिक मौद्रिक नीति समीक्षा में रेपो रेट में 25 बेसिस पॉइंट की बढ़ोतरी कर के 6.50 प्रतिशत किया। इसके साथ रिवर्स रेपो रेट अब 6.25 प्रतिशत और बैंक रेट 6.75 प्रतिशत हो गया है।
इसके साथ ही रिजर्व बैंक ने चालू वित्त वर्ष की अप्रैल-सितंबर अवधि में जीडीपी वृद्धि दर 7.5 - 7.6 प्रतिशत रहने का अनुमान लगाया है और पूरे वित्त वर्ष की वृद्धि का अनुमान 7.4 प्रतिशत पर बरकरार रखा है।
रिजर्व बैंक ने अपनी समीक्षा में आगे कहा की चालू वित्त वर्ष की दूसरी छमाही में खुदरा मुद्रास्फीति के 4.8 प्रतिशत पर रहने का अनुमान है।
जुलाई-सितंबर तिमाही के लिए, मुद्रास्फीति अनुमानित 4.6 प्रतिशत होने का अनुमान है।

6. India, Germany sign pact for financial, technical collaboration in area of urban development
India and Germany signed an agreement on financial and technical cooperation, with a focus on sustainable urban development and renewable energy.
The agreement was signed between German Ambassador to India Martin Ney and Joint Secretary, (Department of Economic Affairs), Finance Ministry, Sameer Kumar Khare.
शहरी विकास के क्षेत्र में वित्तीय, तकनीकी सहयोग के लिए भारत और जर्मनी के बीच समझौता
भारत और जर्मनी ने वित्तीय और तकनीकी सहयोग को लेकर एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किये जिसमें दीर्घकालिक शहरी विकास और अक्षय ऊर्जा पर जोर होगा।
समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर भारत में जर्मनी के राजदूत मार्टिन ने और वित्त मंत्रालय में संयुक्त सचिव (आर्थिक मामलों के विभाग) समीर कुमार खरे ने किये।

The Union Cabinet approved the purchase of 51% stake of Life Insurance Corporation of India in IDBI Bank.
