Gita Mittal was sworn in as J&K Chief Justice
Justice Gita Mittal was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
Mittal is the first female Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
Justice Rajendra Menon was sworn-in as the Chief Justice of the Delhi high court at Raj Niwas on Wednesday. Lieutenant-governor (LG) Anil Baijal administered the oath of office to the newly appointed CJ who was earlier the Chief Justice of Patna high court.

जस्टिस गीता मित्तल ने जम्मू-कश्मीर हाईकोर्ट की मुख्य न्यायाधीश के रूप में शपथ ली. शपथ लेने के साथ ही वह जम्मू-कश्मीर हाईकोर्ट की पहली महिला न्यायाधीश बन गई हैं.
राजस्थान हाईकोर्ट के न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति कल्पेश सत्येन्द्र झावेरी को पदोन्नति देकर उड़ीसा हाईकोर्ट का मुख्य न्यायाधीश नियुक्त किया गया है. उन्होंने न्यायमूर्ति विनीत सरन की जगह ली है. विनीत सरन को सुप्रीम कोर्ट का जज नियुक्त किया गया है. कलकत्ता हाई कोर्ट के न्यायमूर्ति अनिरुद्ध बोस को पदोन्नति देकर झारखंड हाईकोर्ट का चीफ जस्टिस नियुक्त किया गया है.
Bajaj Electricals MD Anant Bajaj passes away at 41
The Managing Director (MD) of Bajaj Electricals, Anant Bajaj passed away at the age of 41 . He was appointed as the company's MD two months ago, before which he served as the Joint Managing Director. He set up the company's digital centre and the integrated research and development facility.

20-yr-old Neeraj Chopra to be India's flag-bearer at Asiad
Neeraj Chopra, the first-ever Indian to win gold in javelin throw at Commonwealth Games, has been chosen as India's flag-bearer at the opening ceremony of the Asian Games 2018. The 20-year-old, who holds the national record in javelin throw, had won two international gold medals last month. Asian Games will be held from August 18 to September 2 in Indonesia.

कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स (2018) इतिहास में भारत को जैवलिन थ्रो का पहला स्वर्ण पदक जिताने वाले और 2016 जूनियर विश्व कप चैंपियन नीरज चोपड़ा 18 अगस्त से जकार्ता (इंडोनेशिया) में होने वाले एशियन गेम्स में भारत के ध्वजवाहक होंगे। यह घोषणा भारतीय ओलंपिक संघ (आईओए) अध्यक्ष नरिंदर बत्रा ने की। 2014 एशियन गेम्स में पूर्व हॉकी कप्तान सरदार सिंह ध्वजवाहक थे।
Virat Kohli becomes 2018's highest international run-scorer
Team India captain Virat Kohli overtook England's Jonny Bairstow to become this year's highest run-scorer in international cricket. Kohli has scored 1,404 runs in 25 innings this year, 15 more than the English wicketkeeper-batsman. Shikhar Dhawan, who has scored 1,055 runs, is the second highest run-scorer among Indians in 2018.

Justice Anirudh Bose took oath as the 12th Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, the post was lying vacant for more than a year.
Bose was born in Kolkata on April 1959. In January 19, 2004 he was appointed a Judge of the Kolkata High Court
झारखंड हाईकोर्ट के नए चीफ जस्टिस अनिरुद्ध बोस
झारखण्ड उच्च न्यायालय के मुख्य न्यायाधीश के रूप में जस्टिस अनिरुद्ध बोस ने राजभवन परिसर में शपथ ग्रहण की.
कलकत्ता हाई कोर्ट के सीनियर जज जस्टिस अनिरुद्ध बोस ने सुरेन्द्रनाथ कॉलेज ऑफ़ लॉ, कलकत्ता से एलएलबी की पढाई कर, 1985 में पश्चिम बंगाल बार काउंसिल के साथ जुड़कर वकालत से कार्य शुरु किया. उन्होंने कलकत्ता उच्च न्यायालय में वकालत की और 2004 में उन्हें स्थाई जज के रूप में पीठ में शामिल कर लिया गया.
India's Hitaashee Bakshi has won the Hong Kong Junior Golf Championship title in the 13-14 years age category.
Kartik Sharma and Sunhit Bishnoi also did India proud by finishing second and third respectively in the 15-17 years age category.
The championship was held at the Discovery Bay Golf Club here where approximately 60 juniors from eight countries participated.
In March this year, Kartik had attained the top spot in the Indian amateur rankings and Bishnoi is currently the top junior golfer in the country.
गोल्फ : हांगकांग चैम्पियनशिप में चमके जूनियर गोल्फर
भारत के हिताशी बक्शी ने अंडर 13-14 आयु वर्ग में यहां हांगकांग जूनियर गोल्फ चैम्पियनशिप का खिताब जीत लिया। बक्शी के अलावा अंडर 15-17 वर्ग में कार्तिक शर्मा और सुनहित बिश्नोई ने क्रमश: दूसरा और तीसरा स्थान हासिल किया।
यह चैंपियनशिप डिस्कवरी बे गोल्फ क्लब में आयोजित की गई थी जहां आठ देशों के लगभग 60 जूनियर भाग लिया।
