1. Veteran journalist Kuldip Nayar died
Senior journalist Kuldip Nayar passed away. He was 95.
Nayar, known as a crusader for civil rights and press freedom, worked in several newspapers including as the editor in the Statesman.

2. Tech Mahindra to acquire Czech based engineering service firm for Rs 8 crore
IT company Tech Mahindra will acquire Czech Republic based engineering services firm Inter-Informatics for around Rs 8 crore through a wholly-owned subsidiary.

सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी कंपनी टेक महिंद्रा चेक गणराज्य स्थित इंजीनियरिंग सेवा कंपनी इंटर -इंफोर्मेटिक्स का आठ करोड़ रुपये में अधिग्रहण करेगी। कंपनी यह अधिग्रहण अपने पूर्ण स्वामित्व वाली एक अनुषंगी कंपनी के माध्यम से करेगी।
3. SBI expects Q1 GDP growth at 7.7 percent
The country's GDP is expected to grow by 7.7 per cent in the April-June quarter on the back of pick up in leading indicators like cement production, sale of vehicles and bank credit, a report by SBI said. SBI has based its assessment on its Composite Leading Indicator (CLI), which takes into account 18 major macro-economic indicators.
पहली तिमाही में जीडीपी वृद्धि दर 7.7 प्रतिशत रहने का अनुमान: एसबीआई
देश की सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (जीडीपी) की वृद्धि दर चालू वित्त वर्ष की पहली अप्रैल-जून तिमाही में 7.7 प्रतिशत रहने का अनुमान है। एसबीआई की एक रिपोर्ट में यह अनुमान लगाया गया है।
रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि प्रमुख संकेतकों मसलन सीमेंट उत्पादन, वाहन बिक्री और बैंक ऋण में सुधार हुआ है।

7. Forbes list : Akshay Kumar world's 7th highest paid actor
According to Forbes magazine, Akshay Kumar has emerged as the seventh highest-paid actor in the world by earning $40.5 million in 2018.
The "Gold" actor is closely followed by his contemporary Salman Khan in the ninth place, raking in $38.5 million.
सर्वाधिक कमाई के मामले में अक्षय कुमार दुनिया के सातवें नंबर के अभिनेता
फोर्ब्स पत्रिका के अनुसार, अक्षय कुमार सर्वाधिक कमाई करने के मामले में दुनिया के सातवें नंबर के अभिनेता के रूप में उभरे हैं। उन्होंने 2018 में 4.05 करोड़ अमेरिकी डॉलर (लगभग 2.9 अरब रूपये) की कमाई की है।
