1. HDFC Bank is India's most valued brand for 5th year in a row
HDFC Bank retained its top spot in the BrandZ India Top 50 for the fifth year in a row, growing its brand value by 21 per cent to USD 21.7 billion in 2018.
The lender earned top spot, having built a reputation for its sustainable livelihood initiative by introducing smaller loans worth as little as USD 175 that can be accessed through its bank branches, WPP and Kantar Millward Brown's BrandZ Most Valuable Indian Brands report said.

एचडीएफसी बैंक लगातार पांचवें साल देश का सबसे मूल्यवान ब्रांड रहा है। ‘ब्रांड्ज इंडिया टॉप 50’ में एचडीएफसी बैंक शीर्ष पर रहा है और 2018 में उसका ब्रांड मूल्य 21 प्रतिशत बढ़कर 21.7 अरब डॉलर हो गया है।
डब्ल्यूपीपी और कंतार मिलवर्ड ब्राउंस ब्रांड्ज की सबसे मूल्यवान भारतीय ब्रांड रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि एचडीएफसी बैंक ने अपनी सतत जीवनयापद पहल के लिए अपनी एक प्रतिष्ठा बनाई है। बैंक 175 डॉलर तक की छोटी राशि का कर्ज उपलब्ध करा रहा है। यह कर्ज उसकी बैंक शाखाओं से लिया जा सकता है।
2. Hriday Hazarika claims junior 10m air rifle gold at world championships
Indian shooter Hriday Hazarika notched up a gold medal in the 10m air rifle junior men's event of the ISSF World Championships.
Hazarika, the lone Indian to qualify for the final with a score of 627.3, was tied with Iran's Mohammed Amir Nekounam on 250.1 once the field was pruned to the regulation top eight.

फाइनल के लिये क्वालीफाई करने वाले अकेले भारतीय हजारिका ने 627 . 3 का स्कोर किया । फाइनल में उनका और ईरान के मोहम्मद आमिर नेकूनाम का स्कोर 250 . 1 रहा । हजारिका ने शूट आफ में जीत दर्ज की ।
3. India becomes 126th country to strike down anti-LGBTQ law
With the Supreme Court decriminalising gay sex, India joins 125 other countries where homosexuality is legal. However, 72 countries and territories worldwide still continue to criminalise same-sex relationships, including 45 in which such relationships between women are outlawed.
In what is being hailed as a historic move, a five-judge constitution bench of the Supreme Court unanimously decriminalised part of the 158-year-old colonial law under Section 377 of the IPC which criminalises consensual unnatural sex, saying it violated the rights to equality.
भारत समलैंगिक संबंधों को अपराध नही मानने वाले 126 वां देश बना
उच्चतम न्यायालय द्वारा समलैंगिक संबंधों को अपराध की श्रेणी से बाहर करने के साथ ही भारत उन 125 अन्य देशों के साथ जुड़ गया, जहां समलैंगिकता वैध है।
लेकिन दुनियाभर में अब भी 72 ऐसे देश और क्षेत्र हैं जहां समलैंगिक संबंध को अपराध समझा जाता है। उनमें 45 वे देश भी हैं जहां महिलाओं का आपस में यौन संबंध बनाना गैर कानूनी है।
उच्चतम न्यायालय की पांच सदस्यीय संविधान पीठ ने बृहस्पतिवार को भादंसं की धारा 377 के तहत 158 साल पुराने इस औपनिवेशिक कानून के संबंधित हिस्से को अपराध की श्रेणी से बाहर कर दिया और कहा कि यह समानता के अधिकार का उल्लंघन करता है।
4. SIAM elects Mahindra & Mahindra's Rajan Wadhera as new president
Automobile industry body SIAM announced election of Mahindra and Mahindra President Automotive Sector, Rajan Wadhera as its new President.
The executive committee of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) also elected Maruti Suzuki India MD and CEO Kenichi Ayukawa, as Vice President, SIAM said in a statement.
महिंद्रा एंड महिंद्रा के राजन वाधेरा सियाम के नए अध्यक्ष
वाहन विनिर्माताओं के संगठन सियाम ने महिंद्रा एंड महिंद्रा के अध्यक्ष (वाहन क्षेत्र) राजन वाधेरा को अपना नया अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया है।
सियाम की कार्यकारी समिति ने मारुति सुजुकी के प्रबंध निदेशक एवं सीईओ केनिचि आयुकावा को उपाध्यक्ष चुना है।
5. Anshula Kant appointed SBI Managing Director
Anshula Kant has been appointed as the Managing Director of State Bank of India (SBI), an official order said. She is at present the Deputy MD in the bank.
