1. 'Nagaland's Gandhi' Natwar Thakkar died
Eminent Gandhian Natwar Thakkar, popularly known as ‘Nagaland’s Gandhi’, has passed away recently. He was 86.
Thakkar, a Padma Shri awardee, had founded the Nagaland Gandhi Ashram at Chuchuyimlang.
‘नागालैंड के गांधी’ नटवर ठक्कर का निधन
प्रसिद्ध गांधीवादी नटवर ठक्कर, जिन्हें 'नागालैंड के गांधी' के नाम से जाना जाता, का हाल ही में निधन हो गया। वह 86 वर्ष के थे।
‘पद्मश्री’ से सम्मानित ठक्कर ने चुचुयिमलांग में नागालैंड गांधी आश्रम की स्थापना की थी।
2. Gopichand Ramineni foundation's Outstanding person award
Badminton coach Pullela Gopichand has been awarded with the Ramineni Foundation's 'outstanding person award'.
The award was presented by the foundation's vice president M Venkaiah Naidu. He also presented special awards to Telugu literary wizard Garikapati Narasimha Rao, film director Nag Ashwin Reddy and writer C Venkata Ramana.
गोपीचंद को रामीनेनी फाउंडेशन ‘आउटस्टैंडिंग पर्सन’ पुरस्कार
भारतीय बैडमिंटन कोच पुलेला गोपीचंद को रामीनेनी फाउंडेशन के ‘आउटस्टैंडिंग पर्सन’ पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया।
फाउंडेशन के उपाध्यक्ष एम वेकेंया नायडू ने उन्हें सम्मानित किया। उन्होंने तेलुगू साहित्यकार जी नरसिम्हा राव, फिल्म निर्देशक नाग अश्विन रेड्डी और लेखक सी वेंकट रमन को भी विशेष पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया।
