2. Global capital goods cos sign 38 MoUs with Indian companies
International Capital Goods producers like Primetals Technologies, Paul Wurth and SMS signed 38 MoUs with Indian steel companies envisaging reduction in imports meant for the steel sector worth Rs 39,400 crore by promoting manufacturing of capital goods in the country.

4. Invest India wins UN award for excellence in promoting investments in sustainable development
Invest India, the country's investment promotion body, has won the UN Award for excellence in promoting investments in sustainable development.
The award was presented by Armenian President Armen Sarkissian to Deepak Bagla, the CEO of Invest India, at the World Investment Forum, Geneva.

TVS Motor Company has elevated K N Radhakrishnan as Director and CEO of the company for a period of five years with effect from October 23, 2018, the Chennai-based company said.

चेन्नई की टीवीएस मोटर कंपनी ने एन राधाकृष्णन को पदोन्नत कर निदेशक एवं मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी बनाने की घोषणा की। उन्हें 23 अक्टूबर से पांच साल के लिए यह जिम्मेदारी दी गयी है। कंपनी ने एक बयान में यह जानकारी दी।
