2. HDFC MF pips ICICI Prudential to become largest AMC
According to Association of Mutual funds in India (AMFI), HDFC Mutual Fund has piped ICICI Prudential MF to become the country’s largest asset management company after a gap of over two years.

3. Bengali writer Dibyendu Palit passes away
Renowned Bengali writer and Sahitya Akademi awardee Dibyendu Palit died. He was 79.
Palit, who was conferred the Sahitya Akademi for his novel ‘Anubhab’ in 1998, had been confined to his home for past three years due to age-related ailments.

साहित्य अकादेमी पुरस्कार विजेता सुप्रसिद्ध बांग्ला लेखक दिव्येंदु पालित का निधन हो गया। वह 79 वर्ष के थे।
पालित को उनके उपन्यास ‘अनुभब’ के लिए 1998 में साहित्य अकादेमी पुरस्कार दिया गया था। उम्र संबंधी बीमारियों के चलते वह पिछले तीन साल से अपने घर में ही रहते थे।
4. Manoj Das honoured with Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja National Award
Eminent English and Odia writer Manoj Das has been honoured with the Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja National Award for Lifetime Achievement in Literature, instituted by the Berhampur University.
