1. Agriculture, manufacturing sectors to push GDP growth to 7.2% in 2018-19: CSO
According to the Central Statistics Office (CSO), Indian economy is expected to grow at 7.2 per cent in 2018-19 mainly due to improvement in the performance of agriculture and manufacturing sectors.
The economic growth rate was 6.7 per cent in the previous fiscal.

Indian American Varun Rai has been appointed as the director of the Energy Institute at the University of Texas.
