1. Former ESPN-Star Sports CEO Sawhney appointed ICC's chief executive
The International Cricket Council has appointed media professional Manu Sawhney as its new chief executive officer, replacing incumbent David Richardson.
Richardson's contract expires at the end of this summer's ODI World Cup in England.
Sawhney, the former CEO of Singapore Sports Hub and Managing Director of ESPN Star Sports, will join the organisation next month before formally taking over the reins from Richardson in July, the ICC said in a statement.

रिचर्डसन का अनुबंध इस साल इंग्लैंड में होने वाले विश्व कप के बाद खत्म होगा।
आईसीसी ने एक बयान में कहा कि साहनी इससे पहले सिंगापुर स्पोर्ट्स हब के सीईओ और ईएसपीएन स्टार स्पोर्ट्स के प्रबंधन निदेशक रह चुके है। वह अगले महीने आईसीसी से जुड़ेगे और इस साल जुलाई में वह रिचर्डसन की जगह लेंगे।

Sartaj Singh from Punjab defeated National Junior Champion Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar of Madhya Pradesh to win the gold medal in the 50m 3-position rifle competition of shooting in the Khelo India Youth Games.
