ANSWERS 

Q1.(C) Replace 'Uphold' with 'upheld'. Has is used with the third form of the verb. 

Q2.(C) Replace for with against we fight against corruption, not for corruption. 

Q3.(A) Replace 'During' with 'in'. During is used to show a period of time. 'In' is used to show the parts of a day (Morning, evening). 

Q4.(2) Write 'that' in place of who. Who as a relative pronoun is used to refer to persons. We are talking of a disease here so that should be used to refer to it. 

Q5.(C) Replace is with are. The helping verb here is being used for allegations. So a plural verb is required here. 

Q6.(B) We are referring to Centre here which is a singular noun, so a singular pronoun should be used for it. 

Q7.(C) any of is used when we talk of more than two persons, either is used for two things/persons. 

Q8.(B) The first Indian woman. 

In the sentence we are talking about a single person so woman should be written women is the plural of woman. 

Q9.(A) It is a pity for should be used here. 

Q10.(B) is still poor scenario is a singular noun so a singular verb should be used with it. 

For other options- 

is still poorest is incorrect here as poorest is the superlative degree of the adjective poor, which is used to show the best or worst of something where as a positive degree of an adjective is used to show a fact or just a statement.
