India's richest person Mukesh Ambani jumped six positions to rank 13th on Forbes World's Billionaire list. This list has been topped by Amazon's Jeff Bezos.

2. Justice S A Bobde nominated as Executive Chairman of NALSA
Supreme Court judge Justice S A Bobde has been nominated as Executive Chairman of the National Legal Service Authority (NALSA).

3. 5 more banks face RBI fine for non-compliance with Swift directions
Five banks, including ICICI, Yes Bank and Canara Bank faced a total penalty of Rs 10 crore from the Reserve Bank for non-compliance with various directions.
Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank and Canara Bank have been penalised by the central bank for not complying with directions on global transaction messaging software Swift, according to regulatory filings by the lenders.
Allahabad Bank was fined for non-compliance of directions with regard to Nostro accounts.
रिजर्व बैंक ने पांच बैंकों पर ठोका 10 करोड़ रुपये का जुर्माना
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) ने ‘स्विफ्ट’ से जुड़े नियमों तथा अन्य निर्देशों का अनुपालन नहीं करने पर आईसीआईसीआई बैंक, यस बैंक समेत पांच बैंकों पर कुल 10 करोड़ रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है। इसमें इलाहाबाद बैंक पर नास्त्रो खातों से जुड़े दिशानिर्देशों का पालन नहीं करने के चलते जुर्माना लगाया गया।
बैंकों ने इस संबंध में शेयर बाजारों को जानकारी दी है।
बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा, आईसीआईसीआई बैंक, यस बैंक और केनरा बैंक पर स्विफ्ट विनियमों का पालन नहीं करने के लिए जुर्माना लगाया है। इसमें बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा पर चार करोड़ रुपये, केनरा बैंक पर दो करोड़ रुपये और आईसीआईसीआई बैंक एवं यस बैंक पर एक-एक करोड़ रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया गया है।
4. World Bank to provide $250 million to boost rural income
The World Bank signed a $250 million loan agreement with the government of India for the National Rural Economic Transformation Project (NRETP) to help women in rural households develop viable enterprises for farm and non-farm products.

ग्रामीण महिलाओं की आय बढ़ाने के लिये शुरू की गई राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण आर्थिक रूपांतरण परियोजना (एनआरईटीपी) के वित्तपोषण के लिये भारत सरकार ने विश्व बैंक के साथ 25 करोड़ डालर का समझौता किया है।
