1. Russian arms exports to India fell by 42 percent between 2014-18 and 2009-13: Report
Russia's arms export to India fell by a whopping 42 per cent between 2014-18 and 2009-2013, according to a new report.
As a result, Russia accounted for 58 per cent of total Indian arms imports in 2014-2018, compared with 76 per cent in 2009-2013, according to the report "Trends in International Arms Transfers, 2018" released by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).

रूस का भारत को हथियार निर्यात 2009-13 और 2014-18 के बीच 42 प्रतिशत तक गिरा है। स्टॉकहोम इंटरनैशनल पीस रिसर्च इंस्टिट्यूट (सीपरी) ने अपनी रिपोर्ट में यह जानकारी दी।
सीपरी की 'अंतरराष्ट्रीय हथियार लेन-देन का रुख 2018' रिपोर्ट के अनुसार 2009-13 के बीच भारत के कुल हथियार आयात में रूस से आयातित हथियारों का हिस्सा 76 फीसदी था जो 2014-18 में घटकर 58 फीसदी रह गया।

वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्रालय, भारतीय उद्योग परिसंघ और एक्जिम बैंक के सहयोग से भारत-अफ्रीका के बीच परियोजना साझेदारी पर सीआईआई-एक्जिम बैंक का 14वां सम्मेलन 17 से 19 मार्च, 2019 तक नई दिल्ली में आयोजित करेगा।
3. Twin Success for Guided PINAKA
Defence Research and Defence Organisation (DRDO) successfully test fired the Guided PINAKA from Pokhran ranges. The weapon system is equipped with state-of-the-art guidance kit comprising of an advanced navigation and control system. In both the missions, the weapon systems impacted the intended targets with high precision and achieved desired accuracies. Telemetry Systems tracked and monitored the vehicle all through the flight path. All the mission objectives have been met.
The indigenously developed Guided Pinaka by DRDO will significantly boost the capability of the artillery to make precision hits.
गाइडेड पिनाक की दोहरी सफलता
रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं रक्षा संगठन (डीआरडीओ) ने पोखरण रेंज से गाइडेड पिनाक का सफल परीक्षण किया है। इस शस्त्र प्रणाली में उत्कृष्ट गाइडेंस किट मौजूद है, जिसमें उन्नत नौवहन और नियंत्रण प्रणाली शामिल हैं। दोनों अभियानों में शस्त्र प्रणालियों ने पूरी सटीकता के साथ लक्ष्य का भेदन किया। टेलीमेट्री प्रणालियों ने उड़ान की निगरानी की। सभी मिशन लक्ष्य पूरे किए गए।
डीआरडीओ ने स्वदेश में गाइडेड पिनाक का विकास किया है, जिससे सटीक निशाने के लिए आर्टिलरी की क्षमता में बहुत इजाफा होगा।
4. Mizoram's first Lokayukta chairman sworn-in
Retired IAS officer C Lalsawta was sworn-in as the first Chairman of the newly-constituted Lokayukta in Mizoram.
