Q1-5. In each of the following questions a statement is given followed by two courses of Action. A courses of Action is taken for improvement, follow up etc. Read the statement carefully and give answer -
1. If only Course of Action I follows.
2. If only Course of Action II follows.
3. If either Course of Action I or II follows.
4. If neither Course of Action I nor II follows.
5. If both Course of Action I and II follow.
नीचे दिए प्रत्येक प्रश्न में एक कथन व दो कार्यवाहियां हैं। कोई भी कार्यवाही किसी सुधार या आगे की क्रिया आदि होती है। कथन को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़कर उत्तर दीजिए -
1. यदि केवल कार्यवाही I अनुसरण करती है।
2. यदि केवल कार्यवाही II अनुसरण करती है।
3. यदि केवल कार्यवाही I या II अनुसरण करती है।

Q-1. Statement- There has been a significant drop in the water level of all the lakes supplying water to the city.
Course of action-
I- The water supply authority should impose a partial cut in supply to tackle the situation.
II- The government should appeal to all the residents through mass media for minimal use of water.
कथन- शहर को पानी की आपूर्ति करने वाली सभी झीलों के जल स्तर में उल्लेखनीय गिरावट आयी है।
कार्यवाहियां:
I. पानी की आपूर्ति के प्राधिकारी को स्थिति से निपटने के लिए आपूर्ति में आंशिक कटौती अधिरोपित करना चाहिये।
II. सरकार को पानी का कम से कम उपयोग करने के लिए जन सम्पर्क माध्यम से सभी नागरिकों से अपील करनी चाहिये।
Q-2. Statement- The police department has come under a cloud with recent revelations that at least two senior police officials are suspected to have been involved in the illegal sale of a large quantity of weapons from the state police armory.
Course of Action -
I. A through investigation should be ordered by the State Government to bring out all those who are involved into the illegal sale of arms.
II. State police armory should be kept under Central Government's control.
कथन- हाल ही में किये गये एक खुलासे में, पुलिस विभाग दबाव में आ गया जिसमें कम से कम दो वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारियों पर राज्य पुलिस शस्त्रागार से हथियार की एक बड़ी मात्रा में अवैध बिक्री में शामिल होने का शक है।
कार्यवाहियां:
I. राज्य सरकार द्वारा, हथियारों की अवैध बिक्री में शामिल रहे उन सभी लोगों को सामने लाने के लिए, एक सम्पूर्ण जांच कराये जाने का आदेश दिया जाना चाहिये।
II. राज्य पुलिस शस्त्रागार को केंद्र सरकार के नियंत्रण में रखा जाना चाहिए।
Q-3. Statement- Financial stringency prevented the state government from paying salaries to its employees since April this year.
Course of Action-
I. The State Government should immediately curtail the staff strength at least by 3%
II. The State Government should reduce wasteful expenditure and arrange to pay the salaries of tis employees.
कथन- वित्तीय तंगी ने राज्य सरकार को इस साल अप्रैल के बाद से अपने कर्मचारियों को वेतन देने से रोका।
कार्यवाहियां:
I. राज्य सरकार को तुरंत कम से कम 3% कर्मचारियों की संख्या में कटौती करनी चाहिये।
II. राज्य सरकार को फालतू खर्च को कम करने और कर्मचारियों के वेतन का भुगतान करने की व्यवस्था करनी चाहिये।
Q-4. Statement- The cinema halls are incurring heavy losses these days as people prefer to watch movies in home on T.V. than to visit cinema halls.
Course of Action-
I. The cinema should be demolished and residential multistory buildings should be constructed there.
II. The cinema halls should be converted into shopping malls.
कथन- इन दिनों सिनेमा हॉलों को भारी नुकसान उठाना पड़ रहा है, क्योंकि लोग सिनेमा हॉल की तुलना में घर में टीवी पर फिल्में देखना पसंद कर रहें हैं।
कार्यवाहियां :
I. सिनेमा हॉल ध्वस्त कर दिया जाना चाहिये और वहां पर आवासीय बहुमंजिला इमारतों का निर्माण किया जाना चाहिये।
II. सिनेमा हॉलों को शॉपिंग मॉल में परिवर्तित किया जाना चाहिये।
Q-5. Statement- Duty free technology parks where foreign firms can manufacture electronic hardware components are proposed to be established at various places in the country.
Course of Action-
I. Government should immediately implement the proposal to augment the foreign currency reserve by exporting the products.
II. Government should not implement the proposal as it will hinder indigenous production of hardware components.
कथन - ड्यूटी मुक्त प्रौद्योगिकी पार्क जहाँ विदेशी कंपनियां इलेक्ट्रॉनिक हार्डवेयर उपकरणों का निर्माण कर सकती है, देश के विभिन्न स्थानों पर स्थापित करने का प्रस्ताव किया गया है।
कार्यवाहियां:
I. सरकार को तुरंत उत्पादों के निर्यात से आरक्षित विदेशी मुद्रा बढ़ाने के प्रस्ताव को लागू करना चाहिये।
II. सरकार को प्रस्ताव को लागू नहीं करना चाहिये, क्योंकि यह हार्डवेयर घटकों के स्वदेशी उत्पादन में बाधा पहुँचायेगा।
