1. With RBI exit, government now owns 100% stake in NHB, Nabard
The Reserve Bank of India has exited the National Housing Bank (NHB) and the National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (Nabard), by selling its entire stakes to government for Rs 1,450 crore and Rs 20 crore, respectively, making them fully government-owned now.
The central bank has sold its stake in NHB on March 19, while it sold the stake in Nabard on February 26, the bank said in a statement.
रिजर्व बैंक के बाहर निकलने के बाद एनएचबी, नाबार्ड में सरकार की शत प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी
भारतीय रिजर्व बेंक ने राष्ट्रीय आवास बैंक (एनएचबी) और राष्ट्रीय कृषि एवं ग्रामीण विकास बैंक (नाबार्ड) में अपनी पूरी हिस्सेदारी सरकार को क्रमश: 1,450 करोड़ रुपये और 20 करोड़ रुपये में बेच दी है। इसके बाद ये दोनों कंपनियां पूरी तरह से सरकारी स्वामित्व वाली कंपनियां बन गई हैं।
रिजर्व बैंक ने एनएचबी में 19 मार्च को अपनी हिस्सेदारी बेच दी थी जबकि नाबार्ड की हिस्सेदारी 26 फरवरी को ही सरकार को बेच दी गई थी। केन्द्रीय बैंक ने एक वक्तव्य में यह जानकारी दी।

3. Pak journalist gets IPI's Press Freedom Hero award
A Pakistani journalist, Cyril Almeida has won the World Press Freedom Hero award of The International Press Institute (IPI) for his "critical" and "tenacious coverage" of the civil-military relations in Pakistan.
The IPI, a global network of editors, media executives and leading journalists in over 100 countries, named Dawn Assistant Editor Cyril Almeida as its 71st World Press Freedom Hero.
पाक पत्रकार को ‘वर्ल्ड प्रेस फ्रीडम हीरो’ सम्मान
पाकिस्तान के एक पत्रकार, सिरिल अलमिदा ने देश में असैन्य और फौज के रिश्तों की ‘आलोचनात्मक’ और ‘अनवरत कवरेज’ के लिए ‘द इंटरनेशनल प्रेस इंस्ट्टियूट’ (आईपीआई) के ‘वर्ल्ड प्रेस फ्रीडम हीरो’ पुरस्कार जीता है।
आईपीआई ने डॉन के सहायक संपादक सिरिल अलमिदा को 71वें ‘वर्ल्ड प्रेस फ्रीडम हीरो’ के तौर पर नामित किया है। आईपीआई संपादकों, मीडिया अधिकारियों और प्रमुख पत्रकारों की वैश्विक संस्था है।
4. Karnam Sekar has been appointed as Indian Overseas Bank’s new MD & CEO
Karnam Sekar, Dena Bank’s former Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), has been appointed as the MD and CEO of Indian Overseas Bank.
He would take up the position from July 1, 2019.

देना बैंक के पूर्व प्रबंध निदेशक (एमडी) और मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (सीईओ) कर्णम सेकर को इंडियन ओवरसीज बैंक के सीईओ और एमडी के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया।
वह 1 जुलाई, 2019 से कार्य संभालेंगे।
