1. TCS reclaims most valued firm status; pushes RIL to second
Software services major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reclaimed the status of the country's most valued firm by market valuation, surpassing Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL).

2. RIL to acquire British toy-maker Hamleys for Rs 620 cr
Reliance Brands Ltd, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd, will acquire iconic British toy-maker Hamleys for 67.96 million pounds (around Rs 620 crore) in an all-cash deal.
रिलायंस करेगी ब्रिटेन की खिलौना कंपनी हैमलेज का 620 करोड़ रुपये में अधिग्रहण
रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज की अनुषंगी रिलायंस ब्रांड्स लिमिटेड ब्रिटेन के खिलौना ब्रांड हैमलेज ग्लोबल होल्डिंग्स लिमिटेड का 6.79 करोड़ पाउंड या करीब 620 करोड़ रुपये में अधिग्रहण करेगी।
3. India, China sign protocol for export of Indian chilli meal
India and China signed a protocol for export of Indian chilli meal to the neighbouring country, the commerce ministry said.
It was signed after a meeting of Commerce Secretary Anup Wadhawan and General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) Vice Minister Li Guo here.

भारत और चीन ने भारतीय मिर्च खली के निर्यात के लिए एक प्रोटोकॉल पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। वाणिज्य मंत्रालय ने यह जानकारी दी।
वाणिज्य सचिव अनूप वधावन और चीन के सामान्य सीमा शुल्क प्रशासन (जीएसीसी) के उप मंत्री ली गुओ के बीच हुई बैठक के बाद इस पर हस्ताक्षर हुए।
4. Gates Foundation names Hari Menon as Country Director in India
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has named M Hari Menon as the Country Director in India effective from May 24.
Menon will replace Nachiket Mor, who held this position for the past three years.

बिल एंड मेलिंडा गेट्स फाउंडेशन ने भारत के लिए हरि मेनन को कंट्री निदेशक नियु्क्त किया है। उनकी नियुक्ति 24 मई से प्रभावी होगी।
फाउंडेशन ने बयान में कहा कि मेनन , नचिकेत मोर की जगह लेंगे। मोर ने पिछले महीने इस्तीफा दिया है और वह पिछले तीन साल से इस पद पर थे।
