An author from Oman, Jokha Alharthi has won the prestigious Man Booker International Prize for her book "Celestial Bodies".

Former foreign secretary Shyam Saran will be conferred with Japan's second highest national award 'the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star' for his contributions to strengthen the strategic ties and enhancing mutual understanding between India and Japan.

पूर्व विदेश सचिव श्याम सरन को भारत और जापान के बीच कूटनीतिक संबंधों को मजबूती प्रदान करने और आपसी समझ बढ़ाने में योगदान के लिए जापान का दूसरा सर्वोच्च राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार ‘द ऑर्डर ऑफ द राइजिंग सन, गोल्ड एंड सिल्वर स्टार’ प्रदान किया जाएगा।
4. NGT forms committee to monitor compliance of conditions by ISKCON in temple construction
The National Green Tribunal has formed a committee to monitor compliance of conditions in the environment and forest clearances by ISKCON in Mathura where the organisation is building a 70-storey temple.
A bench headed by NGT Chairperson Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel constituted a joint committee comprising representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF), Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) to avoid passing of responsibilities.

राष्ट्रीय हरित अधिकरण (एनजीटी) ने मथुरा में 70 मंजिले मंदिर का निर्माण करा रहे इस्कॉन पर लगायी गयी शर्तों के अनुपालन की निगरानी के लिए एक समिति बनायी है।
एनजीटी अध्यक्ष न्यायमूर्ति आदर्श कुमार गोयल की अगुवाई वाली पीठ ने जिम्मेदारियां टालने से बचने के लिए पर्यावरण एवं वन मंत्रालय, केंद्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड (सीपीसीबी) और केंद्रीय भूजल प्राधिकरण प्रदूषण (सीजीडब्ल्यूए) के प्रतिनिधियों की एक संयुक्त समिति बनायी ।
5. India to grow at 7.1% in FY'20: United Nations' report
India's economy is projected to grow at 7.1 per cent in the fiscal year 2020 on the back of strong domestic consumption and investment but the GDP growth is a downward revision from the 7.4 per cent estimated in January this year, according to a report by the United Nations.

भारत में मजबूत घरेलू खपत और निवेश से आर्थिक वृद्धि दर 2019-20 में 7.1 प्रतिशत रहने का अनुमान है। हालांकि यह इस साल जनवरी में जताये गये 7.4 प्रतिशत के अनुमान से कम है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र की एक रिपोर्ट में यह अनुमान जताया गया है।
