1. India likely to add 273 million people between 2019 and 2050: UN report
According to 'The World Population Prospects 2019: Highlights', published by the Population Division of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, India, projected to surpass China as the world's most populous country around 2027, is expected to add nearly 273 million people between now and 2050.

संयुक्त राष्ट्र के आर्थिक एवं सामाजिक मामलों के विभाग के ‘‘पॉपुलेशन डिविजन’’ द्वारा ज़ारी ‘द वर्ल्ड पॉपुलेशन प्रोस्पेक्ट 2019 हाइलाइट्स (विश्व जनसंख्या संभावना) मुख्य बिंदु’ के अनुसार, भारत 2027 के आस-पास चीन को पीछे छोड़ते हुए दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा जनसंख्या वाला देश बन सकता है। भारत की जनसंख्या में 2050 तक 27.3 करोड़ की वृद्धि हो सकती है।
2. Amazon India most attractive employer brand, Microsoft India 2nd: Survey
E-commerce giant Amazon India is the most attractive employer brand in the country followed by Microsoft India and Sony India, says a survey.
According to the Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) 2019, released, Amazon scored high on financial health, utilisation of latest technologies and a strong reputation.
अमेजन इंडिया सबसे आकर्षक नियोक्ता, माइक्रोसॉफ्ट इंडिया दूसरे स्थान पर
देश में ई-वाणिज्य कंपनी अमेजन इंडिया को सबसे आकर्षक नियोक्ता ब्रांड माना जाता है। एक सर्वेक्षण में यह बात सामने आयी है। इस सूची में माइक्रोसॉफ्ट इंडिया दूसरे स्थान पर और सोनी इंडिया तीसरे स्थान पर हैं।
रैंडस्टैड एंप्लॉयर ब्रांड रिसर्च 2019 को जारी किया गया। इसके अनुसार वित्तीय हालात, प्रौद्योगिकी के उपयोग और मजबूत प्रतिष्ठा के मानकों पर अमेजन इंडिया काफी ऊपर है।
3. Fitch lowers India's FY20 growth forecast for a 2nd time
Fitch cut India's growth forecast for the current fiscal for a second time in a row to 6.6 per cent as manufacturing and agriculture sectors showed signs of slowing down over the past year.
The global rating agency had earlier in March lowered the growth estimate for 2019-20 to 6.8 per cent, from 7 per cent projected earlier.
फिच ने चालू वित्त वर्ष के लिए भारत की वृद्धि दर के अनुमान को दूसरी बार घटाया
वैश्विक रेटिंग एजेंसी फिच ने चालू वित्त वर्ष (2019-20) के लिए भारत की वृद्धि दर के अनुमान को लगातार दूसरी बार घटाकर 6.6 प्रतिशत कर दिया है। पिछले एक साल के दौरान विनिर्माण और कृषि क्षेत्र में सुस्ती दिखाई दे रही है जिसकी वजह से रेटिंग एजेंसी ने दूसरी बार वृद्धि दर के अनुमान को कम किया है।
इससे पहले मार्च में फिच ने चालू वित्त वर्ष में भारत की वृद्धि दर के अनुमान को घटाकर 7 से 6.8 प्रतिशत किया था।
4. Pfizer acquires Array Biopharma, valued at USD 11.4 billion
US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer announced the acquisition of Array BioPharma, a biotechnology firm that specializes in cancer drugs.
In a statement, Pfizer said it offered USD 48 per share in cash for Array, putting an USD 11.4 billion value on the company.
फाइजर ने एरे बायोफार्मा का अधिग्रहण किया
औषधि क्षेत्र की दिग्गज अमेरिकी कंपनी फाइजर ने जैव प्रौद्योगिकी कंपनी एरे बायोफार्मा के अधिग्रहण की घोषणा की है। एरे बायोफार्मा कैंसर के इलाज की दवा बनाती है।
फाइजर ने बयान में कहा कि उसने एरे के लिए 48 डॉलर प्रति शेयर की पेशकश की है। इस लिहाज से एरे का मूल्यांकन 11.4 अरब डॉलर बैठता है।
