1- Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that Delhiites will get cheapest electricity in the country. Consumers consuming up to 200 units of electricity will not need to pay their power bills.
दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने घोषणा की है कि दिल्लीवासियों को देश में सबसे सस्ती बिजली मिलेगी। 200 यूनिट तक बिजली का उपभोग करने वाले उपभोक्ताओं को अपने बिजली बिलों का भुगतान करने की आवश्यकता नहीं होगी।
2- President Ram Nath Kovind has given assent to the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2019 passed by the Parliament, making it a law. The law criminalises instant triple talaq and seeks up to three years in jail for guilty.
राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद ने संसद द्वारा पारित मुस्लिम महिला (विवाह पर अधिकारों का संरक्षण) विधेयक, 2019 को एक कानून बना दिया है। यह कानून तत्काल तीन तलाक़ को अपराध घोषित करता है और जिसमे दोषी को तीन साल तक की जेल की सजा का प्रावधान है।
3- In a major boost to national food security government has launched the One Nation-One Ration Card scheme on a pilot basis in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharastra and Gujarat from 1st August 2019.Families who have food security cards can buy subsidized rice and wheat from any ration shop in these states. Their ration cards should be linked with Aadhar Number to avail this service.
राष्ट्रीय खाद्य सुरक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकार ने 1 अगस्त 2019 से तेलंगाना, आंध्र प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र और गुजरात में पायलट आधार पर वन नेशन-वन राशन कार्ड योजना शुरू की है।जिन परिवारों के पास खाद्य सुरक्षा कार्ड हैं, वे इन राज्यों में किसी भी राशन की दुकान से सब्सिडी वाले चावल और गेहूं खरीद सकते हैं। इस सेवा का लाभ उठाने के लिए उनके राशन कार्ड को आधार नंबर से जुड़ा होना चाहिए।

7- Indian Railways 'Northeast Frontier Railway zone' has started a unique initiative to earmark a special portion of the SLR coach with pink colour. This is done to specially help women passengers with better safety and security. 8 trains in Rangiya division of the Northeast Frontier Railway have begun operations with some pink coaches.
