Flipkart Co-founder Binny Bansal has become the youngest alumnus this year to be recognised as a distinguished alumnus by IIT Delhi. He was awarded for his "outstanding contribution made in entrepreneurship".

3- PM inaugurates Gandhi Solar Park at UN Headquarters in New York
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with United Nations chief Antonio Guterres and other world leaders, inaugurated the 50-kilowatt Gandhi Solar Park at the headquarters of the UN in New York. The leaders also released a commemorative postage stamp of Mahatma Gandhi issued by the United Nations at the programme 'Leadership Matters: Relevance of Mahatma Gandhi in the Contemporary World'.

4- 17-yr-old awarded by Gates Foundation for fight against child labour
Payal Jangid, a 17-year-old campaigner against child labour and child marriage in Rajasthan, was given the Changemaker Award by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Jangid received the award from Amina J Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the 'Global Goalkeeper Award' at the same event for the 'Swachh Bharat' campaign.

राजस्थान में बाल श्रम और बाल विवाह के खिलाफ अभियान चलाने वाली 17 वर्षीय पायल जांगिड़ को बिल एंड मेलिंडा गेट्स फाउंडेशन द्वारा चेंजमेकर अवार्ड दिया गया। जांगिड़ ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र के उप महासचिव अमीना जे मोहम्मद से पुरस्कार प्राप्त किया। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 'स्वच्छ भारत' अभियान के लिए इसी कार्यक्रम में 'ग्लोबल गोलकीपर अवार्ड' प्राप्त किया।
5-Amitabh Bachchan to be honoured with Dada Saheb Phalke award
Superstar of Indian Cinema, Amitabh Bachchan selected for the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, India's highest award in cinema. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has been named for the prestigious Dada Sahab Phalke award for his outstanding contribution to the film industry.
This award consists of a Swarn Kamal and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh rupees.
He has given many splendid and memorable performances in various movies including "Zanjeer", "Deewar" and "Sholay". Amitabh Bachchan is continuously proving his services to the Indian Cinema.
He has won a four-time National Film Award.
