1- “Spirit Of Kerala” wins People’s Choice Award
Short film from Kerala “Spirit Of Kerala” has won the People’s Choice Award at the recently concluded My Rode Reel film competition.
The film won the honour beating 1,680 entries. The short film is based on a boat race and directed by Arun Joseph. My Rode Reel film competition is touted as the ‘world’s largest short film competition’.

केरल की लघु फिल्म "स्पिरिट ऑफ केरला" ने हाल ही में संपन्न माई रोड रील फिल्म प्रतियोगिता में पीपुल्स च्वाइस अवार्ड जीता है। फिल्म ने 1,680 प्रविष्टियों को हराकर सम्मान जीता। लघु फिल्म एक नाव दौड़ पर आधारित है और अरुण जोसेफ द्वारा निर्देशित है। मेरी रोड रील फिल्म प्रतियोगिता को 'विश्व की सबसे बड़ी लघु फिल्म प्रतियोगिता' कहा जाता है।
2- India ranks 68th on WEF’s Global Competitiveness Index
World Economic Forum has released the Global Competitiveness Index report. In total, there are 103 indicators distributed across the 12 pillars on which the performance of the countries was evaluated. As per the WEF’s released report, India has moved down 10 places to rank 68th on an annual global competitiveness index which was topped by Singapore.

विश्व आर्थिक मंच ने वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धात्मकता सूचकांक रिपोर्ट जारी की है। कुल मिलाकर, 12 स्तंभों पर 103 संकेतक वितरित किए गए हैं, जिस पर देशों के प्रदर्शन का मूल्यांकन किया गया था। WEF की जारी रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत एक वार्षिक वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धा सूचकांक पर 68 वें स्थान पर पहुंच गया है, जो सिंगापुर में शीर्ष स्थान पर था।
3- Pradhan Mantri Innovation Learning Programme ‘DHRUV’ to kick start at ISRO in Bengaluru
The ambitious Pradhan Mantri Innovation Learning Programme - DHRUV - will kick start at ISRO in Bengaluru on 10th October 2019 and will conclude on 24th of this month at IIT, Delhi. Sixty brightest and talented students from Science, Mathematics and Performing Arts have been chosen for the programme. It aims to further sharpen innovative imagination, skills and knowledge of the students who are expected to contribute to bringing solutions to socio-economic, political and environmental issues in the country.
प्रधान मंत्री इनोवेशन लर्निंग प्रोग्राम 'ध्रुव’इसरो, बेंगलुरू में होगा शुरू
महत्वाकांक्षी प्रधानमंत्री इनोवेशन लर्निंग प्रोग्राम - DHRUV - 10 अक्टूबर 2019 को बेंगलुरु के ISRO में शुरू होगा और इस महीने की 24 तारीख को IIT, दिल्ली में संपन्न होगा। विज्ञान, गणित और प्रदर्शन कला से साठ प्रतिभाशाली छात्रों को कार्यक्रम के लिए चुना गया है। इसका उद्देश्य देश में सामाजिक-आर्थिक, राजनीतिक और पर्यावरणीय मुद्दों के समाधान लाने में योगदान करने वाले छात्रों की अभिनव कल्पना, कौशल और ज्ञान को और तेज करना है।
4- Sprinter Nirmala Sheoran banned for 4 years, stripped of Asian titles
Sprinter Nirmala Sheoran has been banned for four years for doping and stripped of two titles from 2017 Asian Championships. Athletics Integrity Unit, which manages track and field doping cases, says Nirmala tested positive for the steroids drostanolone and methenolone at a competition in India in June 2018.
फर्राटा धाविका निर्मला शेरॉन पर लगा 4 साल का बैन, एशियाई खिताब भी छिना
भारतीय फर्राटा धाविका निर्मला शेरॉन को एथलेटिक्स इंटिग्रेट यूनिट (एआईयू) ने डोपिंग मामले में चार साल के लिए प्रतिबंधित करने के साथ उनके दो एशियाई चैंपियनशिप खिताब वापस ले लिए हैं। एआईयू ट्रैक एवं फील्ड एथलीटों के डोपिंग मामले को देखती है। एआईयू ने निर्मला को जून 2018 में घरेलू प्रतियोगिता में स्टेरॉयड ड्रोस्तानोलोन और मेटेनोलोन के इस्तेमाल का दोषी पाया था।
