1- Kerala extends maternity leave benefits to teachers, other staff of private educational institutions
In a path-breaking development, Kerala is extending maternity leave benefits to teachers and other staff of private educational institutions, including those in the unaided sector. The Central Government has approved the Kerala Government’s decision to bring these teachers and employees under the Maternity Benefit Act.
When the amendment to the Act comes into force, Kerala would become the first state in the country to provide maternity benefits in the private educational sector.
Employees covered under the law can avail 26 weeks’ maternity leave with salary. Moreover, an employer has to provide an amount of 1,000 rupees as a medical allowance.
केरल शिक्षकों, निजी शिक्षण संस्थानों के अन्य कर्मचारियों को मातृत्व अवकाश लाभ प्रदान करेगा
एक ऐतिहासिक कदम के रूप में, केरल शिक्षकों और निजी शिक्षण संस्थानों के अन्य कर्मचारियों के लिए मातृत्व अवकाश का लाभ प्रदान कर रहा है, जिसमें ग़ैर-सहायताप्राप्त क्षेत्र के लोग भी शामिल हैं। केंद्र सरकार ने इन शिक्षकों और कर्मचारियों को मातृत्व लाभ अधिनियम के तहत लाने के केरल सरकार के फैसले को मंजूरी दे दी है।
अधिनियम में संशोधन लागू होने के बाद केरल निजी शैक्षणिक क्षेत्र में मातृत्व लाभ प्रदान करने वाला देश का पहला राज्य बन जाएगा।
कानून के तहत आने वाले कर्मचारी वेतन के साथ 26 सप्ताह का मातृत्व अवकाश प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। इसके अलावा, एक नियोक्ता को चिकित्सा भत्ते के रूप में 1,000 रुपये की राशि प्रदान करनी होगी।
2- Shirui Lily Festival inaugurated in Manipur
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism and Culture Prahlad Singh Patel inaugurated Shirui Lily Festival, 2019 at Shirui Vangayan Ground of Ukhrul in Manipur. Mr Patel along with State Chief Minister N. Biren Singh inaugurated the Strength of Unity Statue as a mark of opening the third edition of the four-day state festival.

केंद्रीय पर्यटन और संस्कृति राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) प्रह्लाद सिंह पटेल ने मणिपुर के उखरुल के शिरुई वनगायन मैदान में शिरुई लिली महोत्सव, 2019 का उद्घाटन किया। श्री पटेल ने राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री एन बीरेन सिंह के साथ चार दिवसीय राज्योत्सव के तीसरे संस्करण के उद्घाटन के अवसर पर एकता की प्रतिमा का उद्घाटन किया।
3- Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurates seminar on Skandagupta at BHU
Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 2-day international seminar on Thursday on the role and relevance of famous ruler of Gupta Dynasty, Skandagupta Vikramaditya at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey were also present on the occasion.
Gupta period is called the golden period of Indian history and Skandagupta Vikramaditya is known as the Saviour of India as he successfully fought the battle against the invading Hoons.
गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने बीएचयू में स्कंदगुप्त पर सेमिनार का किया उद्घाटन
केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने वाराणसी में बनारस हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय में गुप्त वंश के प्रसिद्ध शासक, स्कंदगुप्त विक्रमादित्य की भूमिका और प्रासंगिकता पर 2 दिवसीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संगोष्ठी का उद्घाटन किया।
इस अवसर पर उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ और केंद्रीय मंत्री डॉ. महेंद्र नाथ पांडे भी उपस्थित थे।
गुप्त काल को भारतीय इतिहास का स्वर्ण काल कहा जाता है और स्कंदगुप्त विक्रमादित्य को भारत के उद्धारकर्ता के रूप में जाना जाता है क्योंकि उन्होंने हूंस के खिलाफ सफलतापूर्वक लड़ाई लड़ी थी।
4- RBI raises withdrawal limit to Rs 40,000 for PMC bank account holders
Reserve Bank has enhanced the withdrawal limit for the account holder of Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative Bank or PMC Bank to 40 thousand rupees from 25 thousand rupees. This is the third time, RBI has raised the withdrawal limit since its clampdown on PMC Bank last month.
Punjab & Maharashtra Cooperative Bank, which is among the top 10 urban cooperative banks, was placed under an RBI administrator on September 23 for six months due to massive under-reporting of dud loans.
The regulator had capped deposit withdrawals first at Rs 1,000, which was subsequently increased to Rs 10,000 and Rs 25,000.
RBI ने PMC बैंक खाताधारकों के लिए निकासी की सीमा 40,000 रुपये तक बढ़ाई
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने पंजाब और महाराष्ट्र सहकारी बैंक या पीएमसी बैंक के खाताधारक के लिए निकासी की सीमा 25 हजार रुपये से बढ़ाकर 40 हजार रुपये कर दी है। यह तीसरी बार है, जब आरबीआई ने पिछले महीने पीएमसी बैंक में क्लैंपडाउन के बाद से निकासी की सीमा बढ़ा दी है।
पंजाब और महाराष्ट्र कोऑपरेटिव बैंक, जो शीर्ष 10 शहरी सहकारी बैंकों में से एक है, को 23 सितंबर को आरबीआई प्रशासक के निगरानी में छह महीने के लिए बड़े पैमाने पर ड्यूड ऋणों की रिपोर्टिंग के कारण रखा गया था।
नियामक ने पहले 1,000 रुपये जमा निकासी को कैप किया था, जिसे बाद में बढ़ाकर 10,000 रुपये और 25,000 रुपये कर दिया गया।
5- National Junior Squash Championship kick starts in Chennai
The Chennai leg of the National Junior Squash Championship began in Chennai. It is for the first time that some tribal children are taking part in the tournament. The seven-day tournaments will go on till 22nd October 2019.
