Number of student in each year = 1800/4 = 450
Student pass with grace = 450 x 22% = 198 = Number of student who passed third division in iit madras
Remaining student in iit Madras = 500 – 198 = 302
Total number of student in iit Bombay = 1000
Required percentage = 30.2 %
