Economic Survey 2020-21- Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Smt Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey 2020-21 in the Parliament. The Economic Survey 2020-21 was dedicated to the COVID Warriors. India’s real GDP to record an 11.0% growth in FY2021-22 and nominal GDP to grow by 15.4% which is the highest since independence. India expected to have a Current Account Surplus of 2% of GDP in FY21, a historic high after 17 years. An amount of Rs. 18000 crore have been deposited directly in the bank accounts of 9 crore farmer families of the country in December, 2020 in the 7th installment of financial benefit under the PM-KISAN scheme.

Union Budget 2021- Budget is an estimation of revenue and expenses over a specified future period of time and is usually compiled and re-evaluated on a periodic basis. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1 presented the Union Budget 2021 and revised the expenditure target for FY 2021 at Rs 34.50 lakh crore. She allocated Rs 2,23,846 crore for health, Rs 1.18 lakh crore for road infra, Rs 1,10,055 crore for Railways, Outlay over Rs 3 lakh crore for power and set the divestment target for FY22 at Rs 1.75 lakh crore, among other things.
