(1) A rectangular park 120 m long and 80 m wide has two concrete crossroads running in the middle of the park and rest of the park has been used as a lawn. If the area of the lawn is 8816 sq. m, then what is the width of the road?

(2) A tank is filled by three pipes with uniform flow. The first two pipes operating simultaneously fill the tank in the same time during which the tank is filled by the third pipe alone. The second pipe fills the tank 5 hours faster than the first pipe and 4 hours slower than the third pipe. The time required by the first pipe is-

(6) Anju and Babita appeared at an examination. Babita secured 9 marks more than Anju and hre marks was 56% of the sum of their marks. Find the marks obtained by Anju.

अंजू और बबिता एक परीक्षा में उपस्थित हुए। बबिता ने अंजू से 9 अंक अधिक प्राप्त किए जोकि दोनों के द्वारा प्राप्त अंकों के योग का 56% था। अंजू द्वारा प्राप्त अंकों को ज्ञात कीजिये।

(7) A hall is 15 m long and 12 m broad. If the sum of the areas of the floor and the ceiling is equal to the sum of the areas of four walls, find the volume of the hall.

(8) The difference between a two-digit number and the number obtained by interchanging the digits is 36. What is the difference between the sum and the difference of the digits of the number if the ratio between the digits of the number is 1:2?

The table gives the sales of different Chocolates in a shop in three days of the week.

Area of the park/ पार्क का क्षेत्रफल = (120 x 80) m²  = 9600 m² .

Area of the lawn/ लॉन का क्षेत्रफल = 8816 m² .

Area of the crossroads/पथ का क्षेत्रफल = (9600 - 8816) m² = 784 m² .

Let the width of the road be x meters. Then,/माना पथ की चौड़ाई x मीटर हो तो

120x + 80x - x²  = 784

x² - 200x + 784 = 0

On solving/हल करने पर

x = 4 meter/मीटर

Suppose, first pipe alone takes x hours to fill the tank.

मान लीजिए, टैंक को भरने के लिए अकेले पहला पाइप x घंटे लेता हैं।

Then, second and third pipes will take (x -5) and (x - 9) hours respectively to fill the tank

तो टैंक को भरने के लिए दूसरी और तीसरी पाइप क्रमशः (x -5) और (x-9) घंटे लेंगे।

Let ten's and unit's digits be 2x and x respectively

Required difference/अभीष्ट अंतर= (2x + x) - (2x - x) = 2x = 8
