Q. 2. There are 35 students in a class. Number of girls in the class is 5 more than the boys. The average weight of girls is 2 kg more than the boys. Q. 9. P and Q started a business. P invested Rs.10000 for eight months of the year and Q invested Rs.6000 for the entire year. If the profit at the end of the year was Rs.5700, what was the share of Q out of this?

Q. 10. If N is the smallest perfect square which is exactly divisible by 10, 12 and 25, then the sum of the digits of quotient obtained when N is divided by 36 is-

1. Sol. (D)

Interest obtained from scheme A/योजना A से प्राप्त ब्याज = (24000 × 10 × 2)/ 100 = 480

Interest obtained from scheme B/योजना A से प्राप्त ब्याज = (2400 – x) [{1 + (15/100)}2 – 1]

= (2400 – x) × (129/400)

According to the question/प्रश्नानुसार,

(2400 – x) × (129/400) – 480 = 165

(2400 – x) × (129/400) = 480 + 165 = 645

(2400 – x) = 645 × (400/129)

x = 400

2. Sol. (A)

Average weight of the girls/लड़कियों का औसत भार = x

Average weight of the boys/लड़कों का औसत भार = x – 2

Total weight of the girls/लड़कियों का कुल भार = 20x

Total weight of the boys/लड़कों का कुल भार = 15(x – 2)

According to the question/प्रश्नानुसार,

20x = 15(x – 2) + 190

20x – 15x = 160

5x = 160

x = 32

Average weight of the class/कक्षा का औसत भार = [(15 × 30 + 20 × 32)/ 35] = 31.7 (approx.)

3. Sol. (C)

Let first and second part of the number be x and y respectively.

माना पहली और दूसरी संख्या क्रमशः x और y हैं ।

80% of x/x का 80% = 60% of y/y का 60% + 3 ……… (I)

and/और 90% of x/x का 90% + 6 = 80% of y/y का 80% ……….. (II)

On solving (I) and (II), we get/(I) और (II) को हल करने पर,

x = 60, y = 75

Required answer/अभीष्ट उत्तर = 111 × 135 = 14985

4. Sol. (A)

According to the question/प्रश्नानुसार,

(750 + 750)/ 300 = (s₁ + s₂)  … (I)

(750 + 750)/ 60 = (s₁ + s₂)  … (II)

On solving (I) and (II), we get/ (I) और (II) को हल करने पर,

s₁ = 36 km/hr. /किमी./घंटा, s2 = 54 km/hr. /किमी./घंटा

5. Sol. (D)

According to the question/प्रश्नानुसार,

(30/ U) + (45/ D) = 6 … (i)

(45/ U) + (30/ D) = 6.5 … (ii)

On solving (i) and (ii), we get/ (i) और (ii) को हल करने पर,

D = 15, U = 10

Speed of man in still water/स्थिर जल में व्यक्ति की चाल = 12.5 km/hr. /किमी./घंटा

S.I. in three years/तीन वर्ष में साधारण ब्याज = [{20000 × (5 + 4 + 2) × 1}/ 100] = 2200

C.I. in three years/तीन वर्ष में चक्रवृद्धि ब्याज = [{20000 × (105/100) × (104/100) × (102/100)} – 20000] = 2276.8

Required difference/अभीष्ट अन्तर = 2276.8 – 2200 = Rs.76.8

8. Sol. (B)

4 M = 6 W

2 M = 3 W

10 M + 3 W = 15 W + 3 W = 18 W

Let number of days taken by 10 men and 3 women to complete the double of the work is D.

माना 10 पुरुष और 3 महिलाओं द्वारा इस कार्य के दोगुने कार्य को पूरा करने में लिए गए दिनों की संख्या D है

According to the question/प्रश्नानुसार,

2 × 6 × 7 × 12 = D × 8 × 18

D = 7

9. Sol. (B)

Equivalent ratio between capitals/समतुल्य पूंजियों में अनुपात

= 10000 × 8: 6000 × 12

= 10: 9

Q's share/Q का हिस्सा = (9/19) × 5700 = Rs. /रु. 2700

10. Sol. (B)

L.C.M. of 10, 12 and 25/10, 12 और 25 का ल.स.प. = 300

Smallest perfect square/सबसे छोटा पूर्ण वर्ग = 300 × 3 = 900

which is divisible by 10, 12 and 25/जोकि 10, 12 और 25 से विभाजित है |

So/अतः, required answer/अभीष्ट उत्तर = 900/36 = 25
