1. Sol. (D)

Let B reached the distance in x minutes/ माना B दूरी को x मिनट में तय करता है ।

Time taken by A/A द्वारा लिया गया समय = (x + 20) min/मिनट

According to question/प्रश्नानुसार,

¾ = x/ (x + 20)

3x + 60 = 4x

x = 60 min/मिनट

Time taken by A/ A द्वारा लिया गया समय = 80 min/मिनट = 1 (1/3) hrs/घंटे

2. Sol. (B)

Relative speed/ सापेक्ष चाल = (25 – 5) = 20 km/किमी.

Length of train/ ट्रेन की लंबाई = (50/2) × (27/2) = 75 m. /मी.

3. Sol. (B)

Let the marked price be Rs. x/ माना अंकित मूल्य x रु. है ।

S.P. = 0.9 x

0.9 x = 16560

x = 18400

C.P. = (16560 × 100)/ 115 = 14400

% profit/ लाभ = {(18400 – 14400)/ 14400} × 100 = 27 (7/9)%

4. Sol. (A)

Let the share of P be Rs. x/ माना P का हिस्सा x रु. है ।

then Q's share/ तो Q का हिस्सा = x + 30

and R's share/ और R का हिस्सा = (x + 30) + 60

x + x + 30 + x + 90 = 300

x = 60

Ratio/ अनुपात = 60: (60 + 30): (60 + 90) = 2: 3: 5

5. Sol. (A)

xy = 1344 × 24 … (i)

(x – y) = 80 … (ii)

(x + y)²  – (x – y)²  = 4xy

(x + y)²  = 4 × 1344 × 24 + 6400

= 135424

x + y = 368

6. Sol. (C)

(a + b)/ (a – b) = 1/5

5a + 5b = a – b

4a = – 6b

a/b = – 3/2

{(a³ – b³)/ (a³ + b³)} = [{(a/b)³– 1}/ {(a/b)³ + 1}]

= [{(– 3/2)³ – 1}/ {(– 3/2)³ + 1}]

= [{(– 27/8) – 1}/ {(– 27/8) + 1}]

= 35/19

7. Sol. (D)

Let the angle be x/ माना कोण x है ।

According to the question/ प्रश्नानुसार,

(180^o – x) = 4x – 20o

5x = 200o

x = 40^o

8. Sol. (A)

Let each exterior angle be x/माना प्रत्येक वाह्यकोण x है ।

Then each interior angle/तो प्रत्येक अन्तः कोण = 5x

x + 5x = 180

6x = 180

x = 30

Number of sides/भुजाओं की संख्या = 360/30 = 12

9. Sol. (B)

a²  – 3a + 1 = 0

On dividing both sides by a, we get/a से दोनों ओर भाग करने पर, हम प्राप्त करते हैं

a – 3 + (1/a) = 0

a + (1/a) = 3

Now/अब, a⁵ + (1/a⁵) = {a³ + (1/a3)} {a²  + (1/a² )} – {a + (1/a)}

= [{a + (1/a)³} – 3 {a + (1/a}] [{a + (1/a)² } – 2] – {a + (1/a)}

= {(3)³ – 3 (3)} {(3)²  – 2} – 3

= (27 – 9) × 7 – 3

= 126 – 3 = 123

10. Sol. (B)

Let/माना f(x) = x²  – 7x + 15

Now putting/अब रखने पर, x = 2/3

f (2/3) = (2/3)²  – 7 (2/3) + 15

= 4/9 – 14/9 + 15

= (4 – 42 + 135)/ 9

= 97/9 = 10 (7/9)
