Latest Pattern of SSC CGL Exam 2022
SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is qualifying in nature which is conducted in the online mode. It comprises 100 questions in total with a maximum of 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes.
The pattern of SSC CGL exam Tier 1 is given below:
SSC CGL Tier 2 is conducted in online mode. Only those candidates who successfully cleared the Tier 1 exam are allowed to appear for the Tier 2 exam. It comprises 4 papers with objective-type questions. The time duration of each paper is 2 hours.
SSC CGL Tier 3 is a descriptive paper conducted offline in English/Hindi language. The paper constitutes 100 marks and needs to be completed within 60 minutes.

SSC CGL Tier 3 is a descriptive paper conducted to test the writing skills of the candidate in English/Hindi. The exam is conducted in the offline mode where candidates need to write an Essay, Precis, Letter, Application, etc., in the exam.
The paper is of 100 marks and the time allotted to complete the paper is 1 hour. The Tier 3 exam is written by candidates who are interested in the post of “Statistical Investigator Grade-II” & “Compiler”.
Tier-IV examination comprises a couple of skill sets required for certain Government Posts all over the country.
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Spreadsheets, Word Processing, and Generation of slides are the important three modules for this exam, and the commission demands the candidates to be proficient in it for the post of MEA, CSS, Inspector (Preventive Officer), Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Examiner).
Data Entry Speed Test (DEST): For the post of Tax Assistant (Central Excise and Income Tax), DEST Exam through SSC CGL 2021 exam is conducted to check the candidate's typing speed. The candidates are given an article in English, and they are asked to type it on the computer. Candidates are required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes.
