Q. 5. Two trains are running on parallel track first train crosses the slower train in 2 min 24 seconds. If the speed of fastest train is 50 km/hr. and speed of slower train is 40 km/hr. What is the length of second train if the length of first train is 150 meter? 

दो रेलगाड़ियां सामान्तर पटरी पर एक ही दिशा में चल रही हैं। तेज चाल वाली रेलगाड़ी धीमी चाल वाली रेलगाड़ी को 2 मिनट 24 सेकण्ड में पार करती है। यदि तेज चाल वाली रेलगाड़ी की चाल 50 किमी/घण्टा तथा धीमी रेलगाड़ी की चाल 40 किमी/घण्टा है तो दूसरी रेलगाड़ी की लम्बाई क्या होगी? यदि पहली रेलगाड़ी की लम्बाई 150 मीटर है?

Q. 10. 4 years ago, the average age of a family consisting of 6 member was 40 year one year ago a new baby born in this family. Find the average age of family after 3 year.

4 वर्ष पहले एक 6 सदस्य वाले परिवार की औसत आयु 40 वर्ष थी। एक वर्ष पहले परिवार में एक बच्चे का जन्म हुआ था तो 3 वर्ष के बाद परिवार की औसत आयु बताईए।

Let the C.P. of 1 article be Rs.100/माना एक वस्तु का क्रय मूल्य 100 रु. है |

M.P. = Rs. / रु. 120

S.P. = (3/5) x × 120 + (2/5) x × (80/100) × 120

= {(360x + 192x)/ 5}

= Rs. / रु. (552x/ 5)

P% = [{(552x/ 5) – 100x}/ 100x] × 100 = {(52x × 100)/ (100 × 5)} = 10.4%

2. Sol. (B)

Let total population of a town/माना शहर की कुल जनसँख्या = x

The percentage of college students in the total population

कुल जनसंख्या में से कॉलेज के छात्रों का प्रतिशत

= {[(x/3) – {(x/3) × (7/8)}]/ x} × 100

= [{(8x – 7x)/ 24}/ x] × 100

= (1/24) × 100 = 4 (1/6) %

3. Sol. (D)

(a/ 2) = (b/ 3) = (c/ 4)

{(a + b + c)/ c} = (a/ c) + (b/ c) + (c/ c)

= (½) + (3/4) + 1

= (2 + 3 + 4)/ 4 = 9/4

Distance/दूरी = Speed/चाल × Time/समय

(150 + l) = (50 – 40) × (5/18) × 144

(150 + l) = (25/9) × 144

l = 400 – 150 = 250 m. /मी.

= 240 + 6 × 4 + 1 = 265

Sum of age of all family member after 3 years/3 वर्ष के बाद परिवार के सभी सदस्यों की आयु का योग

= 265 + 7 × 3 = 286
