1. Sol. (D)

Total age of seven person/सात व्यक्तियों की कुल आयु = 30 ×7 = 210

Total age of five person/पांच व्यक्तियों की कुल आयु = 31 × 5 = 155

Total age of two person/दो व्यक्तियों की कुल आयु = 210 - 155 = 55

Average age/औसत आयु = 55/2 = 27.5 years/वर्ष

2. Sol. (C)

A: B = (1/2): (3/8) = 4: 3

B: C = (1/3): (5/9) = 3: 5

C: D = (5/6): (3/4) = 10: 9

A: B: C: D = 8: 6: 10: 9

3. Sol. (B)

Let the price of the third variety be Rs. x per kg.

माना तीसरी किस्म का मूल्य x प्रति किग्रा है

(126 × 1 + 135 × 1 + 2 × x) = 153 × 4

261 + 2x = 612

2x = 612 – 261 = 351

x = 351/2 = 175.50 kg/किग्रा.

4. Sol. (B)

36 × 50000: 30 × 80000 = 3: 4

Share of Suresh/सुरेश का हिस्सा = (3/7) × 24500 = Rs.10500

5. Sol. (C)

Let the present age of Shyam and Mohan be 11 x and 13x

माना श्याम और मोहन की वर्तमान आयु 11x और 13x हैं ।

According to the question/प्रश्नानुसार,

{(11x + 7)/ (13x + 7)} = 20/23

260x + 140 = 25x + 161

260 x – 253x = 161 – 140

7x = 21

x = 3

Req. difference/अभीष्ट अन्तर = 13x - 11x = 6 years/वर्ष

6. Sol. (A)

Length of the faster train/तेज चलने वाली रेलगाड़ी की चाल

= (5/18) × (75 – 48) × 14

= (5/18) × 27 × 14

= 105 m. /मी.

7. Sol. (C)

40M = 60W = 80C

2M = 3W = 4C

Now/अब, 10M + 10W + 10C = 10M + (20/3) M + 5M

= (65/3) M

Required number of days/अभीष्ट दिनों की संख्या = (40 × 6 × 3)/ (65 × 2) = 72/13

= 5 (7/13) months/माह

8. Sol. (C)

M₁ × d₁ = M₂ × d₂

10M × 15 = (10M × 5) + (10M + 10W) × 5

150 M = 50 M + 50 M + 50W

50 M = 50W

1M = 1W [10 M = 10W)

Again/पुनः, M₁ × d₁ = M₂ × d₂

10W × 15 = 25W × d₂

d₂ = 6 days/दिन

x + y = 37 … (I)

x + x = 55 … (II)

x = 27.5

y = 9.5

Req. time/अभीष्ट समय = 9.5 + 9.5 = 19 minute/मिनट

Let that number be x/माना संख्या x है |

According to the question/प्रश्नानुसार,

x + 20 = 69/x

x² + 20x – 69 = 0
