The Staff Selection Commission, SSC CGL Recruitment exam is conducted for the post of Non-technical Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ non-gazetted positions in different departments/ ministries/ organizations of the Government of India. Staff Selection Commission of India will be conducting SSC CGL Exam in four stages namely, Tier-1, Tier-2, Tier-3 & Tier-4 exam.
Tier-I & Tier-II exam will be conducted in online mode,
Tier-III will be a pen and paper-based exam and
Tier-IV will be a computer skill test.

The exam would be conducted online comprising 4 sections having 100 questions in total and with maximum marks of 200. The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes.
The sections asked in SSC CGL Tier-I Exam are:

Every section consists of 25 questions each and every question carries 2 marks each which makes it a total of 50 marks per section.
Penalty of Wrong Answer:
There is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for every wrong answer marked by the student. There would be no sectional cut off. No marks shall be deducted if the question is not attempted by the candidate.

Penalty of Wrong Answer:
There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.
Note: Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these Posts.
Paper-III will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-III i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I i.e. Computer Knowledge Test is mandatory but qualifying in nature.
Module-II of Section-III of Paper-I will include conducting of a Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) for a duration of 15 minutes in Session-II on the same day.

Step 1. The Applications for SSC CGL 2022 can only be submitted in online mode through the official website of SSC viz. https://ssc.nic.in.
Step 2. Now click on the "Apply Online" link under "Combined Graduate Level Examination" section under "Latest Notifications" tab & fill all the details as asked in the online application form.
Step 3. After that upload all the required documents such as your scanned signature & colour passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50KB).
Step 4. Before final submission of the SSC CGL online form, candidates must cross check all details provided in every field of the form as after submission of the application form, no further changes/ correction/ modification shall be entertained under any circumstances.
The Fee payable for Online Application is Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only).

General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research.
Quantitative Aptitude: The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage. Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra & Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Trigonometric ratio, Degree and Radian Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart.
English Comprehension: Candidate’s ability to understand correct English, his/ her basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested.

A minimum score will be required to be obtained by each candidate in SSC CGL Tier I examination and a minimum total score will be needed to be shortlisted for Tier II Exam process. The SSC CGL Cut Off depends upon various factors like the number of vacancies, total number of Candidates, exam difficulty, previous year cut-offs, zone wise vacancies, etc. Based on the marks scored in Tier-I Examination, category wise candidates will be shortlisted to appear in Tier-II and Tier-III examinations.

Physical Fitness Requirements: Apart from the above, there are certain requisite Physical Standards for Inspector (Central Excise/ Examiner/Preventive Officer), Sub-Inspector in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) and Sub-Inspector in NIA (National Investigation Agency).
