SSC CGL 2022 Exam Pattern and Syllabus
SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2022Staff Selection Commission of India will be conducting SSC CGL Exam in two stages namely, Tier-1 & Tier-2 exam.
Tier-I & Tier- II exams will be conducted in online mode but Tier-I is of qualifying nature whereas Merit list will be prepared on the basis of overall performance of candidates in Tier-II Examination only.
The section wise SSC CGL marks which are assigned to every section is mentioned below. Let us have a look on the exam pattern for all stages of SSC CGL Recruitment process:

The exam would be conducted online comprising 4 sections having 100 questions in total and with maximum marks of 200. The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes.
The sections asked in SSC CGL Tier-I Exam are:
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Awareness
- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Comprehension
- Every section consists of 25
questions each and every question carries 2 marks each which makes it a total of 50 marks per section.
Penalty of Wrong Answer:
There is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for every wrong answer marked by the student. There would be no sectional cut off. No marks shall be deducted if the question is not attempted by the candidate.
Let’s look at the ways to Qualify SSC CGL 2022 Exam Tier-1 :
Regular Practice: Make a habit practicing previous year paper and mock test every day to improve your speed and accuracy. Solve previous year papers as there are many questions which are repeated.
Build a Proper Study Plan: Follow a proper strategy and a time table for all the sections of question paper.
Practice Important Topics: Students can look into the chapter-wise analysis mentioned above and focus on the important topics first.
Focus on your weak areas: First try to focus on you weak areas and spend more time improving them. Devote more time to your weak areas and less time to your strong areas.
Time Management: Try to manage your time while solving mock papers. Give more time to sections that you are stronger in. This will ensure that you can effectively use the time duration of the exam. Remember that there are no sectional time limits and no sectional cut offs. So your job is to simply maximize your score however you can.
