1.Catastrophic(Adjective):विनाशकारी:causing sudden and very great harm or destruction

Synonyms: disastrous, fatal, unfortunate, calamitous, destructive, ruinous, fateful, cataclysmic

Antonyms: fortunate, advantageous, anastrophic, beneficial,

Example Sentence: Because of the severe drought, this year has been quite catastrophic for farmers.

2.Batter (Adjective / Verb) : क्षतिग्रस्त: injured by repeated blows or punishment; having suffered repeated violence from a spouse, partner, or parent

Synonyms: pound, lash, lick, whip, pelt, attack

Example Sentence: The abusive man swore that he didn’t batter his wife, but her black eye and busted lip told a different story.

3.Backer (Noun): समर्थक: someone who gives financial support to something; a person, institution, or country that supports someone or something, especially financially

Synonyms: supporter, proponent, exponent, promoter, booster

Antonyms: enemy, foe, rival. belittler, critic, faultfinder

Example Sentence:With no backer to offer financial support, the restaurant was forced to shut down last Friday

4. Abridgement (Noun): संक्षिप्तीकरण: a shortened version of a written work

Synonyms: overview, abstract, summation

Antonyms: expansion, enlargement

Example Sentence: An abridgement of the book has been published for young readers.

5.Trumpeted (Verb): घोषणा करना: to make known openly or publicly

Synonyms: announced, published, proclaimed

Antonyms: withheld, suppressed, concealed

Example Sentence:We trumpeted our triumph all over the college.

6. Befuddled (Adjective) : उलझना: unable to think clearly; confused or perplexed

Synonyms: bewildered, confused, dazed

Antonyms: clearheaded, conscious

Example Sentence:Even with my professor’s help, I was still befuddled by the complicated chemistry formula.
 
7. Alms (Noun): दान: a gift of money or its equivalent to a charity, humanitarian cause, or public institution

Synonyms: donation, contribution, benefaction

Example Sentence: If not for the alms given to him by charitable groups, the man would have died of hunger.

8.Abrogate (Verb): अभिनिषेध करना: to put an end to by formal action

Synonyms: abolish, repeal, cancel

Antonyms: enact, establish, legislate

Example Sentence:The Supreme Court can abrogate laws deemed unconstitutional.

9.Imputation(Noun):इलज़ाम:a charge or claim that someone has done something undesirable; an accusation

Synonyms: allegation, accusation, indictment

Example Sentence: It turned out that the child’s imputation that his brother had hidden his toys was incorrect when the toy was found in the child’s bedroom.

10.Reel under(Idiom): To struggle to walk or remain upright due to the weight of something.

Example Sentence:Tony reeled under the weight of the books.
