Qualification Required
- Candidates have completed Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university.
- a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer
EPFO Steno 2023 Eligibility Criteria:-
- 12th class pass from a recognized university
- Skill test norms
Dictation:-
Ten minutes at the rate of Hindi eighty words per minute
Transcription:-
Fifty minutes(English) sixty-five minutes (hindi) (only on the computer)

- A test of this type is the preliminary examination. 100 points are awarded for the preliminary exam. There were 100 questions asked in total for the preliminary exam.
- One mark is given for each question. Negative marking is used, and each incorrect response results in a mark deduction of 1/4, or 0.25 marks.
- The preliminary examination is of a qualifying nature, and the scores won't be taken into account for determining the final merit list.
- Depending on how well they score in the preliminary exam, candidates will be selected for the main exam in a ratio of 1:10, or around 10 times the number of openings in each category.
