1. Braving (Verb) : सामना करना : to oppose (something hostile or dangerous) with firmness or courage

Synonyms: confronting, facing, encountering

Antonyms: avoiding, ducking, sidestepping

Example Sentence: He did not feel up to braving his parents after the declaration of the 10th result because of his poor scores.

2. Proprietor (Noun) : मालिक : one who has a legal or rightful claim to ownership

Synonyms: owner, holder, possessor, keeper

Antonyms: tenant, lessee, squatter

Example Sentence:He is now the sole proprietor of the business.

3. Frivolous (Adjective): तुच्छ : not having any serious purpose or value

Synonyms: trivial, unimportant, worthless, foolish

Antonyms: important, meaningful, substantial, serious

Example Sentence: Students who consider test instructions to be frivolous often fail exams.

4. Recompense (Noun) : मुआवजा / पुरस्कार : compensation or reward given for loss or harm suffered or effort made

Synonyms: compensation, reparation, indemnification

Example Sentence: It was the jury’s task to decide how much recompense the survivor of the plane crash deserved.

5. Ratify (Verb): प्रमाणित करना : sign or give formal consent to (a treaty, contract, or agreement), making it officially valid

Synonyms: approve, confirm, finalize, endorse

Antonyms: reject, deny, disapprove

Example Sentence: The shareholders will ratify any merger that will increase their dividends.

6. Forborne (Verb): रोकना : politely or patiently restrain an impulse to do something; refrain

Synonyms: refrain, abstain, desist

Antonyms: bow (to), give in (to), submit (to)

Example Sentence: She had been there once already, but seeing him asleep, she had forborne to wake him.

7. Apocryphal (Adjective): शंकायुक्त : (of a story or statement) of doubtful authenticity, although widely circulated as being true.

Synonyms: fictitious, made-up, untrue

Antonyms: real, factual, literal

Example Sentence: Most of the stories about him are apocryphal.

8. Toil (Noun): कठिन परिश्रम : work extremely hard or incessantly.

Synonyms: work hard, labor, drudgery

Antonyms: relax, repose, rest

Example Sentence: If you want knowledge, you must toil for it.

9. INFREQUENT (ADJECTIVE): (असामान्य): Rare

Synonyms: Uncommon Unusual

Antonyms: Frequent

Example Sentence:

Her visits were sudden and infrequent.

10. EARMARK (VERB): (चिह्नित करना): Set aside

Synonyms
: Reserve, Appropriate

Antonyms: Use up

Example Sentence:

The cash had been earmarked for a big expansion of the programme.
