1. Covenant (Noun) : अनुबंध : a formal and binding agreement or contract between two or more parties

Synonyms: agreement, contract, treaty, pact, deal, bond, commitment

Antonyms: disagreement, discord, denial, breach

Example Sentence: They signed a covenant agreeing to share the profits equally

2. Remorseful (Adjective) : पश्चातापी : Feeling or expressing sincere regret or remorse (a feeling of sadness and being sorry for something you have done)

Synonyms: repentant, contrite, apologetic, regretful, sorry, ashamed

Antonyms: unrepentant, impenitent, shameless, unashamed

Example Sentence: After realizing the harm he had caused, he was remorseful and apologized to those he had hurt.

3. Stodgy ( Adjective) : नीरस, उबाऊ : Dull and uninspired, lacking in excitement or originality; Food which is heavy and difficult to digest

Synonyms: Dull, boring, unexciting, tedious, indigestible

Antonyms: Interesting, exciting, dynamic, digestible

Example Sentence: The novel was criticized for its stodgy prose and lack of narrative
tension.

4. Hanker (Verb): to have a strong desire or longing for something

Synonyms: Crave, Yearn, Long, Pine

Antonyms: Dislike, Abhor

Example Sentence: I have always hankered for adventure and travel, so I decided to take
a year off and backpack across Europe.

5. Depraved (Adj):दुष्‍ट: Morally corrupt, wicked

Synonyms: Corrupt, immoral, vicious, nefarious

Antonyms: Virtuous, moral, ethical, righteous

Example Sentence: The depraved individual was found guilty of committing heinous crimes.

6. Travail (Noun) : कड़ा परिश्रम : painful or laborious effort, a physical or mental exertion

Synonyms: toil, labor, effort, exertion, struggle

Antonyms: ease, rest, leisure, relaxation

Example Sentence: She went through much travail to become a doctor. 

7.Desiccated (Adj.): सुखाया हुआ: remove the moisture from (something); cause it to become  completely dry; lacking vitality or interest

Synonyms: dried up, dehydrated, lifeless

Antonyms: hydrated, moist, wet, juicy

Example Sentence: After sitting in the hot sun all day, the once lush green grass had become
desiccated and brown.

8. Taciturn (Adjective) : अल्पभाषी: reserved or uncommunicative in speech; tending not to speak much

Synonyms: untalkative, uncommunicative, reticent

Antonyms: blabby, chatty, talkative

Example Sentence: John is a taciturn man who rarely speaks more than a few words at a time.

9. Intent (Noun/Adj.) : इरादा, उद्देश्य: (adj) having the mind or attention firmly fixed on something; (n) intention or purpose

Synonyms: aim, goal, objective, purpose, attentive, focused

Antonyms: aimless, unfocused, distracted

Example Sentence: The athlete had an intent look on his face as he prepared for the
race.

10. Canard (Noun): झूठी खबर, धोखा : false or baseless, usually a derogatory story, report, or rumor, misleading statement (intended to
deceive people)

Synonyms: falsehood, rumor, hoax, fabrication, myth, lie

Antonyms: truth, fact, reality

Example Sentence The politician was known for spreading canards about his opponents to
gain an advantage in the election.
